I agree, Pinky could just possibly a genius but insane. Example. That guy they based the movie a beautiful mind off of is a genius and he has a Nobel prize as proof, but he spent alot of his younger years imagining people.
Sp Pinkpy could just be mentally unstable yet stilll a genius.

It only didn't work once the Brain took over. Then again, all of Pinky's ideas for that plan came from the Brain's past, failed plans.
Also, Pinky has displayed other highly evolved capabilities, such as being able to hover above the ground with apparently little effort.
Though, in one episode the Brain made Pinky smarter, giving him the same level of intelligence as the Brain himself. Could you actually increased Pinky's intelligence if he's already a genius?

Is it bad that I've actually put a lot of thought into this question in the past?

That is the same episode that involves telling the world that they will get free t-shirts if they go to Pinky's & Brain's created Earth right?

Nah, I'm remembering an episode where Pinky got to make up a plan that involved things that were inspired from Brain's previous plans. Pinky ended up being the mayor/leader? or a town called shinypants, where everyone wore really shiny pants. From there it went on, but the Brain ruined it by trying to take control of the situation and being rude and such. That's what I remember.
Some channel really needs to air the show again.
