Many of you realized (mabye) I was gone for a while. This is because I was on a huge Ghostbusters kick (still am!). How many of YOU guys like that movie? It is the best thing ever if ya ask me!! How many other fans are here?

I'm partial to it. I liked the first one. However I believe the second one (with the possessed baby or what not) was a bit odd.

Only thing is, most of the best lines can't be repeated here legally...there are some though...

Ray. When someone asks you if you're a god, you say YES!!

Human Sacrafice, Dogs and cats living together, MASS HYSTERIA!!

My personal favorite is one of Peter Venkman's--

Was the cartoon the one with the kids and the guy with a ponytail was training them?

That's the newer one (Extreme Ghostbusters - or something), I think. Wasn't there on older cartoon? I think there was. At least I hope there was because I remember watching it.

I never saw the newer TV show but the old one was a classic, pure and simple. I can remember kindergarten, 15 years ago, drawing pictures of the ghostbusters in my journal... of course I didn't have any peach coloured crayons so I could only draw the black guy, but still.

I'd have to go against the grain on this one and say I actually preferred the second movie. Although I haven't seen it in about a decade, I can still remember the awesome court room scene when the judge doesn't stop yelling and the poop hits the fan... or ooze hits the fan, I suppose, given the situation.

There were some awesome actors in that movie that we just don't see enough of these days... Dan Akroyd pops up every now and again, Rick Moranis has fallen completely off the radar screen, Bill Murray is enjoying a recent resurgance of popularity which is long overdue... le sigh. Good times.

There were/are 2 cartoon series: Real Ghostbusters and Extreme Ghostbusters. RGB came into play between movies I and II and featured the guys, Janine, Slimer (the first ghost the busted), and later on, Louis Tulley. It's called REAL Ghostbusters due to copyright issues. EGB came around later. It follows Egon Spengler and Janine, his girlfriend, as Egon teaches at Columbia University. The guys have disbanded, but more ghosts are coming so his 4 students, Kylie, Roland, Eduardo, and Garrett, become the next generation. For more information, visit http://www.ghostbusters.net I'm there now, watching old RGB episodes you can get there! It's really great.

PS: the "Guy in the ponytail" is Egon :)

Heehee! Ghostbusters...
My friend has the bedsheets from the cartoon. I used to have the game for it on Nintendo, and man was that thing impossible to beat! (Matter of fact, I never have. Ever.)
I loved how in Shrek 2 they had the huge gingerbread man. The whole time I was thinking, "Who you gonna call?"

I don't understand how a person couldn't like the ghostbusters. Sooooo funny.
