American Idol (Split @ 10)

Alright, tonight, it was interesting to say at least,

Melinda: She's not really impressing me; I mean, I know she can sing but as Paula and Simon said, she isn't bringing ANYTHING ELSE. There's no personality, no attachment to the song, nothing. She's definately safe this week though.

Blake: Beat-boxing is going to be the downfall to this dude; you can't beat box on every song like Randy said. I mean, I understand last week's performance called for it but he's really overkilling it and this alternative talent is starting to overshadow his actual singing talent. He's at risk to leave, he certainly did the worst.

Lakisha: I thought she did okay, not amazing but she did well. I personally liked her performances but that cracked note kind of, well, sucked. Overall good.

Jordin: I love her. She's going to the finale definately, and I honestly loved her second performance. I noticed it was pitchy, but I thought she still pulled it off.

All in all, it was a really weak night, especially for Final Four. I mean, fight for the title! One of them will be the next American Idol and no one seems to be fighting for it as hard as I think Jordin is.

My Predictions,

Bottom Two

Blake
Lakisha

With Lakisha leaving, Blake's fanbase is bigger.

Personally, Lakisha should go, she isn't as memorable as Blake is.

Boring as usual. I think Lakisha should go. (Blake's first performance was so horrible that I was laughing though) She was trying to oversing "Stayin' Alive"...it doesn't seem right.

No matter who is in the top 2, I think that the finale this year will be probably the most boring finale of Idol ever (with the possible exception of season 3).

Is it just me, or is Idol getting more boring the more seasons? *shrug*
I didn't watch last night. I haven't been watching since Chris Sligh got eliminated. Seriously.

He was the only reason I was watching in the first place.

Why? He sucked and was a complete loser.

Season 3 will the most boring finale. I've only watched most of this season and bits and pieces of other seasons, but I thought both Fantasia and Diana were crappy finalists.

If you honestly place the winners and runner ups of each American Idol in a new Idol season, the finale would be between Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Clay Aiken (Because of his large fanbase). Guarunteed. Taylor Hicks, Diana Degarmo, Ruben Studdard would be out so quickly it wouldn't even be funny (Well, maybe a little).

Haha... so boring. xD Jordin was the only one that I liked, but her second song was almost borderline shrieky. :\ Blake was just... strange, and it was almost unbearble, HOWEVER, I think Randy's comment about using beatboxing every song was STUPID. Yes, it's true, but you think he might have mentioned it a lot sooner than the last couple of rounds, when it's absolutely pointless...? He really liked it last week, and then turned around and bashed it this week.

Eh, last season was terrible (I guess people forgot about it already o_0), I don't think it could possibly match that (Season 3 is the one I skipped, but eh, didn't seem like I missed much). A top two that doesn't deserve to be there, both singing songs "meh"ly. >_> Eh, so long as one of the people that can sing makes it to the final two, I'm happy. It beats having a bad singer and an "okay" singer as your final two.

Well, that was shocking. Completely unexpected.

Yeah, right.

And a note to Ryan, you're not funny. Your jokes aren't funny; you're awkward and a loser. And please stop reminding us that American Idol has nothing better to do than fill the show with useless crap, it just makes you look like an idiot.

I liked how the little kids said the Lakers would win. :P

But, yeah, I think that elimination wasn't surprising at all. Even Lakisha herself expected it. And they showed crying girl again.

IMO, though, the selection of finalists this year is fine with me, no-matter how things turn out.

Personally I think they should have brought the "get to know the idols" show back. It's nice that they've showed us *some* inklings on who these people are, but for the most part, we know absolutely nothing about them, which makes the viewers ignorant of anything about them other than the very little bit of information we're given and what they do on the stage.

Heck yes! SO glad Lakisha was voted off. The top three are very very good...it will be interesting to see how it goes...

The finale may be boring; but there's always something exciting to look forward to after the boring finale. So You Think You Can Dance!

As much as I adore Blake and all of his beat-boxing goodness, I honestly want Jordin to win. She has the most star potential, she has more room to grow as an artist due to her age, and she has the best voice, in my opinion.

I cant wait for the finale because Gwen Stefani is going to perform. :P

There's a rumor that Kelly will perform too.

I've barely been watching the show lately - and I've watched EVERY season. I'm just getting so bored - I watched parts of Tuesdays and Wednesday's show but they were both too predictable.

How I expect it to go -

Top 3:
1. Melinda (Winner)
2. Jordin (She's probably more commercial than Melinda though)
3. Blake (He'll definitely get a contract, even though he stinks)

I think blake is going to be in the final two, simply because there is always a surprise elimination in every season and i think jordin is going to go even though she has so much potential.
Melinda will win. I just have one of those feeling melinda will win even though i love blake. I agree with randy though, blake shouldn't beatbox on every song and its killing his performance even though it was amazing on bon jovi week.

How I think it will go:
1. Melinda(winner)
2.Blake
3.Jordin (but i still reckon she'll be more successful afterwards)

Sun May 13, 2007 4:23 am

Hmm... I actually don't think Melinda is going to win. She's been losing quite a bit of popularity it seems (or at least not gaining) and I think that's going to cost her in the end (I think both Jordin and Blake have been gaining). I think she might actually have the possibility of being voted off next. Even though Blake isn't nearly as good, I think that he has enough support to possibly outlast Melinda.

1. Jordin
2. Blake
3. Melinda

Then again, a night can change everything, you never know, someone could fall flat on their face or someone could do an excellent job and ensure that they make final two or are eliminated that day.

I personally think it's going to go:

1. Melinda
2. Jordin
3. Blake

Blake, in my opinion, isn't nearly as good as the other two, and only relies on his beatboxing. And even that is getting kind of old after he went all out on Bon Jovi night. I think Melinda will do a much better job next round, due to her critiques last Wednesday. She said it was a wake-up call, and she seems like the kind of person to take things seriously, so I'm expecting a big improvement. Assuming Melinda makes it to the final round, she can pick from any songs she sang before, which is good because she's done a number of outstanding performances early in the season. I'm not sure if they get to pick from Top 24 Performances, though, in which I hope she does "My Funny Valentine". Jordin should do "I who have nothing" again. (Again, this is all assuming they make it to the top two). However, I wouldn't be surprised if Jordin won.
