Date Movie

Well, I just got back from it and I must say, I was expecting something a bit more, well, funny. I mean, it was funny but it wasn't up to Scary Movie standards or anything. It did have its moments but, I don't know, it could've been so much better.

If you want to see it, rent it. Don't go to the theaters; and if you don't wan to see it, don't -- you'll be disappointed anyways.

I'm tired of spoof movies right now. They're all just so horribly lame.
As for this one... I haven't seen it but I don't think I really want to.
I don't find picking fun at overweight people funny.. and from the previews of the girl in the fat suit dancing like an idiot and people grossing out over her just isn't funny to me at all.

This wasn't worth the price of a ticket, nor was it worth the hour and a half of my life it wasted.

Even though I had not seen a good rating for this in any magazine in the UK I still decided to go and watch it. What a waste of time! It was completely unfunny and the storyline was terrible (not that I'd expected a good storyline, but it was beyond bad).

Although while I was there I did see a trailer for Scary Movie 4, which looked quite good. I liked the previous 3 Scary Movies anyway so I'll go and see it when it comes out.

I totally agree with that it sucked big time

I personally plan to sue them for that time back.

So bad was this film that I felt cheated having paid to see it.
And I didn't pay.

I was indeed expecting more, but here's how I see it: you can't make something as funny if it's already funny, like most romantic comedies are. However, I had the (dis)pleasure of seeing this movie three times in theaters, with different groups of friends, as there has been a severe lack of comedies this year, or ones with appeal at all. Even Scary Movie 4, in my opinion, wasn't as good as the previous incarnations.

Spoof movies are getting a little boring - they need to find a different way of making jokes maybe? Jessie saw the movie. Said it had its moments but overall, was ok.
