The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Ok, it seems like there are just too many fans of this wonderful movie for it to go any longer without a thread of it's own.

So, I'll start the ball rolling, have you ever seen it in a theater?

I have, last June. I'd go several times a year if I could, but I don't live in a very big city. We've got one theater that just shows new movies, and a small one-screen theater that shows foreign films, art films, and classics. This latter theater also shows RHPS once per summer as a midnight movie. I'm going back this year, it was so fun. There's nothing quite like doing the time warp in a crowded theater, in the dark, shortly after midnight, with rice and water already all over the floor.
There's also nothing like getting hit in the head with toast, toilet paper, and playing cards...

I used to be on cast...Magenta. My favorite character of all time.

Of course, the Audience participation is severely not appropriate for these forums, but gosh is it fun. I can't listen to the music anymore without doing the Taco Taco Taco song, or screaming obsenities with the music at the radio...

Taco taco taco taco...I want a burrito...

Taco? AH! Ok...
Yep great song XD
I'd have to say I'm a sweet Trans... something
XD

I love it I watched the movie first when I was 10 years old and I loved it. Ok I may have been slightly underage XD but It was still great.
Now 6 years later I <3 The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I enjoy the movie because of how it cuts to the Narrator.

And one question.

Why when you get turned into stone do your clothes disapear? XD

Our local university put on the play... 2 years ago (I think), and I saw it because one of my older friends were in it. I was scarred for life. They made all the "Rocky virgins" get up on stage and participate, and since everyone I went to see it with had already seen it, they just laughed at me as I jumped to the right instead of "jump to the left".

So then I rented the movie, showed some of my closer friends, and we have loved it ever since. My friend does the best version of "Touch-a Touch-a Touch-a Touch me" I have ever heard...

Seriously my favourite movie of all time. Just because of the good times that my friends and I have when watching it... If you have a weird sense of humour, it's definitely for you.

I was about 10 the first time I saw it as well. I've been a fan ever since.
When you turn to stone, your clothes disappear so that Dr. Frank N Furter can dress you in a corset and fishnets instead.

The virgin ritual when I saw it was for all the RHPS virgins to get up on stage, and hold red balloons, while the guy dressed as Dr. Frank N Furter popped them with a pin.

I love how the acting in it is bad on purpose, because it's parodying old Science Fiction and Horror B movies.

Random Fact: It wasn't until after the set for the lab was built that they realized they'd forgotten to give it a door, just an elevator. So they decided to have Dr. Scott crash through it later, and they could use the hole in the wall as a door for the rest of the movie.

My favourite song is Rose Tint My World, by the way.

<3 Mine, too!

I remember I got in trouble in school because I was humming all the songs during my biology final exam.

I've never seen it, but I am soon! About a half hour where I live, they show it every Friday night. A couple of my friends went, the guys decked out in fishnets and leather skirts. :P
The virgin ritual for my guy friend was to eat one side of a Twizzler while another guy ate the other side...Lady and the Tramp Style. :) Wish I was there to see that!
So soon I will see it...heh, I heard it's really crazy and fun!

I didn't dress up when I went last year. I was going to to dress all punk, but I couldn't because I couldn't find my favourite red shirt (because my evil sister had stolen it).
Next time I'm going to wear a blue/black corset, a short black skirt, black knee-high patent leather boots, and either black or fishnet armwarmers.

I haven't seen the musical, but I've seen the live version. There's a Rocky group that holds them every few months in my city. Half the cast consists of friends so I go to nearly every show (often held on campus).

We had to do the time warp infront of everyone and then crawl through all the legs of the cast while they spanked us <_<

XD Why I love RHPS in theatre It's just sooooooo funny watching them make the virgins do stuff...
I didn't dress up. I just went normal and the first time I seen it they got us to go up and turn around and they went along the line and spanked us... kind of like Meowth

I've never seen it in theatre :( Only once on DVD, I loved it though and am now having the urge to go watch it again.

(I'm currently teaching my 21 month old sister to say 'Let's do the time warp again...' :P)

Edit: Ooh, my dad just told me they're showing Rocky Horror at the Hollywood Bowl and making it this huge thing. We're gonna go. ^_^

I wanna see it! I have to find out what's all innappropriate in it, and beg my parents to let me see it! I've been asking for YEARS!... I hate being 14.

What's inappropriate?

Start from the beginning theme song. That's okay (except for *maybe* one line xD). Then you get to a song in which they say "Damnit" about 100 times (not really, but, meh). Then skip forward about 15-20 minutes to the appearance of Frank-N-Furter. From there to the end of the movie, it is inappropriate. xD

So, yeah, about 20 minutes is good, wholesome, family fun. ;)
