Oh no! I can't believe that! How awful, he was great as Briscoe! My favorite role of his was Dr. Houseman in Dirty Dancing. He was also the voice of Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast, and all its subsequent sequels and cartoon spin-offs.

How sad.

He was always my favorite cop on Law and Order. The guy that replaced him just... doesn't have the same feel as he did. He'll be sorely missed.

That is soo sad. He was great on that show. Well for the most part he is a big part of the show the only one that stuck around the longest.
He will be missed.

goodness, this is quite a sad thihng to learn.

it's sad to hear that someone died so prematurely, he will be missed.

law and order will NOT be same

Since when did he leave law and oreder. In australia he's still a deticitive. We must be far behind. Its quite sad him and hes partner made a good team

he didn't leave law and order, he died

I cried for days when I heard the news. I LOVE Law and Order. Especially Briscoe.

That is so so sad. I've never watched any of the Law and Orders because frankly I never knew which one was which, but no one can deny how heart-breaking that is. Too many people are dying from cancer these days.
