18+ Guild?

Not an opportunity to give a random drop of your guild or anything, but I was just wondering if anyone is in or has their own guild specifically for 18+? One they're satisfied with. I tried joining a guild before and bad experiences

but I'm willing to give it another shot.

Preferrably with:
-active members
-not a specific topic such as LOTR, but merely a place where you can talk about anything
-games & free stuff because that's always fun.

When you say 18+, do you mean elder players? or college-type players? players who have to hide the screen when the boss comes by? or just in general?

I'm in a 20+ guild. All members are 20 or over. It's fairly active and has no LOTR anywhere in sight lol PM me if you want an invite

The guild I belong to is open to players over the age of 21. Its name is Adults Neopia Anonymous. It is a very active guild and a lot of fun, too! People who want to join are required to fill out an application located at http://petpages.neopets.com/~ana_doorman

I don't really like -age-+ guilds...I don't think they're appropriate. Are they legal? I thought TNT disallowed them or something.

Neopets is connected with COPPA (Child Online Protection -something- (or is it the other way around?) Agency?), and so it's meant to be a site for all ages....vice versa.

Yes, age-related guilds are allowed as long as all Neopets' rules and regulations are followed. Many of us older Neopians prefer adult guilds because we have similar interests: our kids, grandkids, jobs, etc. Nothing ever happens in our guild that would be inappropriate for younger players. It's just that sometimes older grownups need to interact with other players who have similar interests.

Well yes, it's a site for all ages but division by age is a perfectly natural and okay thing to do. I probably have completely different motivations/goals/ and like SierraRaven said, interests as a 19 year old compared to a 13 year old. It's exactly the same as let's say... a Hilary Duff lover's guild or something.

I also think you're misunderstanding COPPA. That simply states that Neo can't take your personal information if you're under 13. It has nothing to do with anything else.

Thanks, I'll take a little glimpse around everyones and then make my choice.

What I meant by 18+ is college folk, and what not. And my reason for that, someone already explained.... I don't have similar interests with 13 year olds and what not.
