I'm not entirely certain, but it seems as though turning the sound off on the Wheel of Monotony, even for a second, greatly reduces your chance of getting a good prize.

I've heard of it, but I think it might be a rumor. I'm pretty sure it's never been confirmed by TNT.

lol It makes sense though. I always turn the sound off and I NEVER get anything good. :P

you know thats quite possible. I remember I once left my sound on coz I didn't know you could turn it off. I won np (can't remember how much).

After turning it off though, all I've ever won was a rock throw, beast cave and some cheesy WoMo merchandise.

I've always turned the sound off when spinning the WOM and always gotten crappy prizes, the best being a Bri Codestone or two, so I think this may be possible. But hearing that disgusting spinning sound for hours will turn anyone insane... maybe we can just turn off the speakers but not the sound of the WOM. ;)

highly doubtful, the mute button is probably there so the programmers don't get lots of angry feedback moaning about not being able to shut it off ;)

It's just that I notice that my prizes are far worse when I DO actually mute the wheel. I'm not sure if that holds true for anyone else, so that's why I asked.
