How do you sell your hard to sells? I just made a decent restock on a plushie and I can't sell it even though I'm pricing it way below the price!

i had the same problem recently with an unbuyable that no one would buy and i just put it in the trading post with this wishlist: "110k auto, you got 5 minutes or im sticking it in my shop for 99k or donating it to the money tree for a newbie!!:P" and i had 3 bids in 2 minutes! Otherwise its just a case of waiting it out and hoping that prices dont drop.....good luck!:)

The best way to sell a HTS is by including it + np on a more expensive lot.

Keep in mind, HTS often are listed with expensive prices, but they aren't worth that much, because, frankly, an item's only worth what people will pay, and if they're not paying anything, it's not really worth a single point.

If a hts item has a TP value of 150k, you can normally assume the real value is 120k or less. 500k valued items sometimes won't be really worth over 250k

When including it on a bid, think of it as worth only a little less than the listed price, even though it's actually worth lower. Compensate the difference with pure np, and they'll be more likely to accept.

Yes, that is what I normally do with HTS. Bid it on other people's trades. Offer on something which is much lower than the asking price of your HTS though.

On a side note, it is possible to make np by trading in HTS. I've made close to 800k just for trading a few HTS items. People get so desperate that they are willing to sell a HTS worth 2 mil (as in others are asking for that on the post) for 500k. Then, if you are lucky, you can trade it for a ETS worth 1 mil. There are always willing buyers around.

Most HTSs are needed for quests ( such as Illusens) or even galleries...
I know that when I needed some berry for illusens quest number 35, I was willing to pay anything... And the berry that i needed at the time cost 250k... Despite the fact that I failed it... After a few months the price of the berry dropped 100k.

Now even though this hasn't really worked well for you before, i'd say keep at it... Or go lower with the price if you really want to get rid of it.

I dissagree a bit with this. The majority of HTS are not r98 or r99 items, which are the ones required by Illusen and Juhdora.

The reasons most items are considered HTS, are because the item is...

a) Rare (not nessicarily 98/99, could be retired as well)
b) Useless (it doesn't do anything magic, is one use, or it has poor BD stats)
c) No Market (Because of the other two reasons, only very specific gallery owners will want it)

Selling to gallery owners isn't a piece of cake. Keep in mind, if they have an large gallery, they already understand the concept of haggling and buying as low as possible. Galleries are expensive and aren't usually made overnight.

Selling a HTS isn't impossible, but it does take a lot more work. There's a lot of money to be mades in them, as Qanda pointed out, but it does take patience, and a bit of skill.

Whenever I have a HTS to sell, I go on the trade boards (the only time I ever post on the neoboards) and say something like...

*insert name of item*
TP price: *insert the price on TP*
My price: *insert a price lower than the TP*

Pure np is preferred, will consider all offers.

Etc. After a while someone usually is willing to bid and sometimes it is much more than you expect. For example recently I got 50k + a codestone more than what my asking price was.

The most important thing is patience. Relist your trades often, or offer a HTS to somebody in trade. They might not know it is so hard to sell. If you want faster results, lower your price. I usually stick with it and wait. It's worth it. If you are lucky, you can put it up for auction. People research purchases FAST and may bid your price on a HTS under pressure.

The key is really to be patient and flexible. What I do, is relist once a day, asking the lowest TP price. This may take weeks, but eventually someone will buy it. For example, I had a Rohane plushie for 2 months. Out of the blue, I had a great offer on it. Don't get impatient and be prepared to haggle.

The only problem with reposting your stuff in the Trading Post is if you have something good, you can get a lot of junk offers ...but then trolling for bad offers can be a form of enertainment! I know I enjoy it.

I have a florta that nobody would buy even though there're only 3 on TP:( Guess that qualifies as a HTS as well Why doesn't anybody want it? It's pretty cute in my opinion.....How do you guys sell petpets that won't sell?

Additionally, you could neomail gallery owners, and tell them that you're looking to sell your item for a somewhat discounted price.

As a plushie collector and a reseller, I have to agree with atomicblonde and stampsyne. It takes patience to sell a HTS plushie--but once you do sell it, you can make a really good profit. And, there are lot of people out there who "make a living" buying and reselling HTS's. Like Qanda said, there are people out there who are desperate for the nps and, so, will price their HTS at an outrageously cheap price.

Whenever I happen upon a HTS that is priced way below the going rate, I snap it up--but I do so with the understanding that it might take a week or month or more to sell it for the price I think I can ultimately get for it. I look at it as a long-term investment--much like buying stock. I know that I could throw it on the shop wiz for 99999 and sell it pretty much instantly--or I could wait awhile and get a whole lot more for it.

I guess it just depends on how badly you need the nps.
