Then they brought out the Scroll of Freezing. Don't get me wrong, I love the alternitive to the way-too-expensive Hypno Helmet. But, since I'm mediocere at the games, I can't restock, and Stocks take too long, this could be the first time since my old account (Pokepet70) that I could find myself in money problems.

Try making Neopoints from your shop, trades, auctions, finding deals on the wiz etc. then. Good luck!

There are plenty of ways to make NP without playing games, stocks or restocking...in fact, i use one all the time.

Yup, making neopoints isn't much of a problem. Here's your alternatives.

If you have a fast connection, try:

Restocking from main shops: Lots of big and fast NP to be made here. Only problem is it takes a while to learn what items are "good" and what items are "bad" (Not all items are profitable, you can actually lose money if you don't know what to go after in which store). Learning the technique is also difficult, but definately gets easier with time.

Auction Sniping: Another way to fast riches, auction sniping demands a fast hand, and a fast connection. But the profits can be IMMENSE for a good sniper. Not as much know-how is needed for sniping in comparison to restocks, but like always, practice makes perfect.

If you don't have a fast connection:

Trades: This one is my personal favorite. You'd be suprised by the bargains out there in trades. Throw a ton of cheap junk items in your trades and bid cash on as many items as you would like. Be sure to know that value on what you are bidding on however, and make sure you give yourself plenty of room for profit (about a 20% ratio). BID ON A LOT OF ITEMS. Sure, about 80-90% of the people will reject you, but the 20-10% that accept makes it all worthwhile if you do it in volume.

Reselling/Wiz Hunting: Hunting on wiz can be quite profitable. Learn the prices of some good easy selling buyable items (cough, cough, codestones, map pieces, dubloons, faeries, etc..) and hunt the cheap ones down on wiz. Buy them, slap them in your shop for 1np under lowest retail and let the shop do the work and the profits roll in. This is the technique I use along with trades, and I'm not at all complaining about my income. ;) I promise you, it works. :D

Stocks: Not one I'd really reccommend. Sure, you can gain np, but usually only huge amounts of time (unless you day-trade) and the possibility of losing NP is a good one. The effort-to-np ratio is also a big loser here thanks to the cap-off on how many shares you can purchase per day. Truth is, you could be using the NP you would invest in a stock and invest it in reselling instead, and make a lot more profit in a shorter amount of time. Just my opinion though....I used to be an avid stock market hound until I learned what NP I could make in other methods.

Games: A fun diversion, but not something you can count on to make "HUGE NP". The effort to NP ratio is awful here. I can speak from experience, it is possible to make 100k in a day by playing games (and only skill games at that, no luck/chance) I put that theory to the test a few months ago for an article I wrote for the NT. It did get published, but the 100k mark took 16 hours of straight game playing. ;) Games are a great thing to do when you are wiz-banned or just bored. :) They really can break up the monotony of the neo day, but shouldn't be relied on as your only np making source. ;)

Anyhooo...hope that helps you.

While you're np making guide was thorough i'm going to have to disagree with some points on your stock. For one thing the risk associated with stocks is extreamly low. While a stock might go bankrup that's an extream exception and you should NEVER have to lose np on a stock that hasn't gone bankrupt.

Addtionaly the effort-to-np ration is so low as to be nearly zero. I check my stocks once a day and buy 1000 shares of something. Compare that to the effort you need to give to playing games or restocking.

It is true that it's something that takes a lot of time to start producing dividends but for may players (especialy those like me that don't have a ton of time to invest in np making) it can be a good solution. Still I wouldnt' recommend it in this case since it only works if you have a lot of patience and a reasonable amount of np to start with. That dosen't seem to be the case here since Shroomish is saving up for a particular battle dome item.

I get what you're saying. :) All I was trying to say was normally investing your NP as capital in other methods listed above is a faster more secure form of income. Granted, bankruptcy doesn't happen too often, but it can...however the possibilites of having to hang on to your stock for 6 months as to not take a loss is greater. ;) (and for not as much profit as you could have done with that np during that 6 month spread.)

And while you don't actually have to do anything in stocks it does take up a lot of time in constant research. How many times daily do you check your stocks? ;)

Actually, I've been doing stocks for a long time. I don't make much off them, though :(

I never said I was saving for the item. It's just the cost of replacing it after it breaks is starting to take it's toll on my finances.

Games is my main source of NP. Since I never know how long I'll get on the computer, I need to make my NP as fast as possible. Also, I don't have the patience to sit in a shop and constantly click refresh.

I visit the shop every once in a while and grab something that'll make me some NP, and also resell codestones and other prizes that I get from dailies (unless I need it).

One of the easiest and random ways is to do Snow Faerie quests, decline all her quests which require items over 5000 neopoints. She gave me a bag of peanuts twice in the last couple of months!

Also, do the esgophagor quests WITHOUT doing the brain tree quests, he gives out rare cards like hiten nitro and rare stamps sometimes.

That's what I do too! :) Especially the Snow Faerie Quest, sometimes she also gave neggs! I have about 5 Battle Duck Neggs from her already. However it is quite random so you must be doing her quest frequently. And like what watericesage say, decline her quests which are over 5000 np. It is not worth it most of the time. :)

5k? wow... I usually decline anything over 2k. Mind you, that Taelia HATES me. For the last three months, I've gotten ONE quest under 10k (I didn't do any of the others) and for the one I did do, I got a 50np item. :x

o_O I don't understand... why is it that the scroll of freezing should post money problems for you?

Scroll of Freezing is about 38,000 Neopoints. That takes quite a while to earn without games or restocks or stocks.

Oh, and, just to let you know, I DO believe that Scroll of Freezing IS breakable. ;)

Yes, the Scroll is breakable. Replacing it is cutting into my money.

Anyways, I have been going to Taelia lately, but none of her quests are cheap enough. But I'll try the Esgophagor sometime.

And I just tried out auction sniping. Unfortinetely, I lost money on both items.
