(Stock market is technally a game right? If not, could a kind mod please move this to the appropriate forum?)

But seriously, my stocks ares stinky bad.

NAKR
(profile) 7 7 0 1000 15 7,000 NP -53.33%

PEOP
(profile) 17 16 -1 990 20 15,840 NP -20.00%

SHRX
(profile) 11 9 -2 1000 24 9,000 NP -62.50%

TAG
(profile) 6 7 + 1 1000 15 7,000 NP -53.33%

So (because I have no money left) should I...
A) Sell PEOP and buy another stock?
B) Wait till one of my stocks go up
C) Earn money to invest 1000 shares in another ticker
D) Other

(on a side note, I only have 990 shares in PEOP because I saw a scroll of freezing on the shop wizard for 100 neopoints and I thought a game would take too long)

It is almost all luck. There are a series of complex algorithms that randomly change the stocks' prices every half hour.

The staff can intervene can cause booms and busts.

Ooh I didn't know that. Well you learn something every day! It amazes me the work they put into little things on the site :P

You should do a combination af B and C. Never Ever Ever sell for a loss. Always sell for profit. Like Shapu said, this is a patience game. You buy them and wait for them to go up, it could take 2 days, it could take 2 months, it could take more.

If you feel a cash crunch, make more in another way and if you have some extra, put it in another stock.

I'm finally back for the summer, although hopefully I'll spend a little more time away from this screen.

wow 30-50% is pretty low

My curent stock selling point is 65 np or something around 500% A bit less really since i buy at 16 sometimes.

Hoenestly with stocks I feel it's wort it to just have them sitting there they're all going to break 60 eventualy. Then again i have some shares of bankrupt stock so i suppose it's all relitive.

I'm going to have to agree though. It's not a loss untill you sell. Try to avoid selling stocks unless you're going to at least break even. Personaly i'd just leave what you have alone.

Also this isn't really related to your question but i see that you bought some of your stocks kind of high (24 np) it's better to buy them as cheap as possible -- then they have to go up less for you to reap the same np reward.

Really though the stockmarket is a waiting game -- if you can't just have your np sitting in there and waiting to make money (more than half my np is currently tied up in the stockmarket) than i wouldn't invest any more in there unill you have enough of a nest egg that you're not going to have to dip into stocks before they've matured. Keep what you have though -- all the stocks will go up eventualy. If you feel like investing more try to buy whatever stock is clocest to 15 np that day and try to get as many differnt stocks as you can. The more differnt stocks you have the more likely that one is going to go up on any given day.

My overall recomendation is to go with C -- earn more money buy more stocks. But first earn enough np that you're not going to need to dip into stock money for day to day expenses. A is a really bad idea -- Never sell a stock at a loss to buy another stock

That's what you do when you can't afford to have your nps frozen in stocks and are out for a quick handy profit of a few thousand nps. If you really want to earn big you must have tons of patience and wait for the stock to reach over 50np per stock. I personally sell at 40-45np per stock, but then I buy stocks at 15np, so I've made a 300% profit.

Heh...what tipped the balance in me being able to buy my Draik Transmog potion was an unforgotton stock (I tend to buy stocks for about a week and then forget) rose by about 3000% over the years I've been playing. That netted me a good 100k (I didn't have all that many shares in it, or I woulda been over the moon).

But yeah...just be patient.

You can always re-coup losses if you wait (the exception is the RARE case of a stock folding)

FOLDING: Going bankrupt; no longer existing.
