The neopoint page

Today, I accidentally clicked on my neopoint pool and ended up at the neopint page. i scrolled through that page and come across this:

Sometimes, when navigating the site, you will magically find Neopoints! Finds of up to 50,000 Neopoints have been recorded!

50,000 np? in my nearly 3 years of playing neopets, i have yet to pick up any amount of neopoints close to that in a random event. the best find was 2000np. i was curious about this "fact" and wonder if anyone ever "magically" find neopoints over 10k while navigating the site. what's the maximum amount of neopoints you got through a random event?

Off the top of my head, pure NP... 1000 I think. I found 2 lab pieces last week though ^^

my max amount was 1k, while playing neoquest II. 50k must be one of those one-in-a-billion things that TNT thinks are so delightful.

my most expensive non-neopoint RE was a mootix, but that doesn't count, does it?

I got 1k today and i recall getting 2k a while ago but never more than that

yeah, i am talking about neopoints only... i have not even heard anyone gloat about finding 50k np..i wonder if the programmers forgot to code it in. i thought it was fair since we have so many taxes and np losing REs (like that kadoatie RE; i got it many times with each RE taking off 5k )

I don't carry too much either. I've lost a fair bit of my 800nps that i usually carry to bullies but i wish i got the tax beast

I was giggling in my guild the other day about how I got roughed up by Sloth's associates for 10% of my np... but I had just donated to my guild's fund and only had about 500np out at the time. ^^

hmm..i thought it would add to the excitement if they come up with a RE that's opposite to all these tax REs..like give np worth 10% of your pool. that would probably lure some players to risk.

That page actually used to say the max 'recorded' was 1k...

But I do know that Illusen could give you up to 5k as a RE.

The most I've gotten was 5K. Not quite 50K, but still a hefty amount.

Wow, i've never got anywhere near 50k, or even 5k!

One other funny thing on the page (http://www.neopets.com/neopoints.phtml) is that it has a table of NP's and how you can get them. Well, besides 5000 NP is says: "Earn THOUSANDS by playing the Neopian Stock Market!"
I think folks have won a little more than thousands.

I've played Neopets for FOUR years and the maximum I've found is I think 2500 NP!

Guys, for the last time, they are called random events for a reason.

I got 5000NP once, but that was because I had my neopoints in the bank so illusen gave me some, but I think they forgot to add or maybe they took away the 50k one, that page is outdated you know.

Twice, Illusen has given me 5000nps--but only because I had very little nps out at the time. The third time that she came along to reward me, she told me that she had planned to give me some nps, but saw that I was rich enough already--or something like that. At the time, I had about 50K out. I kicked myself for that one!

I also got several thousand (about 5K but less than 10K) dropped on me from a pteri flying in the sky--as I remember correctly, the random event could only happened to pteri owners.
