After weeks of trying to pick a really good name for my new peophin, I come up with something that really matches. I picked the name Olossen.

I want to eventually get him a gallion. The only problem is, Gallion and Olossen both have 7 letters. Which means Olossen will reject any gallion I give him. But here's my question, if I give him a Black Gallion (I was planning to do this anyway), will the extra letters make the petpet's name longer, so he can have a painted gallion, just not a regular gallion? If any knows if this is true or has some experience with this, please let me know.

In your case it would work (it's not quite the same according to the naming rules ;))

Giving him an already painted gallion should work perfectly. Alternately, for the record, you can change the site language until you find a different word for Gallion that he'll take (but be aware that "Gallion" will be replaced by whatever it is in whichever language you attach it in). However, if you paint it, the language will change back. If nothing else, it's nice to keep in mind if it ends up being cheaper to paint it yourself (although that's rare).
