Okay, so I went to the mall tour today since I couldn't go yesterday. And here's what all happened:

Well, when we first went in, we saw the big Neopets sign with some of the Neopets characers on it (Vira, Sloth Clones, etc.). They give you a passport thing with the different little events on it. When you finish doing one, you get it stamped. When you get four stamps, you get to spin a big Wheel of Excitement (which doesn't look much like the Neo one) and win stuff! The first thing you had to do was the demo, where you and six other people are in a team and you play against another team in the Neopets TGC, but the cards are gigantic and there's this huge playing mat. They explained how to play and everything. There was even like a little three year old there and she got the hang of it. I got to roll giant dice. =D

The second thing we went to, which was the thing I wanted to do most, was meeting some of the artists. The guys that were there were Golden Child, Soup Faerie, and Tiger Catcher (I forgot there real names XP). The line wasn't too long, it just took forever. We waited like 40 minutes. But it was worth it. When I got up there, I asked Golden Child to draw me a Faerie Shoyru (because they rock and you know it). Well, while he was drawing it, I asked him if I could draw something while I was waiting. Well actually, my mom did, seeing as she was bragging to one of the helper people that I could draw really well. So I drew a Faerie Kacheek. He said it was really good, and he asked me if he could keep it. I said yes, of course. He also said that he'll bring it back to the Neopets HQ and show the other guys! He even asked me to give him my username so he could keep in touch! (I wonder if he thought anything about it... o_o) My mom got Soup Faerie to draw her a Pteri, and I got Tiger Catcher to draw a Robot Acara. It doesn't look much like the one on the site, but it's still coool. I also got a few TCG cards signed!

The third thing was the create-a-card part. They gave you this big oversized paper of a blank Neopets card and you drew the picture for it and everything. I made a Faerie Shoyru card (sorry Adam I forgot I said I was gonna make a Faerie Kacheek =P). It looked way better than what the other little kids were drawing. My mom was just messing around, so she drew a card. It was a Pteri, but it had another toe, was smoking a cigar, and was wearing a pimp hat. XD (don't worry she didn't enter it)

I also went to the Training grounds, where you learned how to play. That wasn't real exciting though. She did give me and mom a free deck, and mom took another one, so that's like 30 bucks of cards right there! Yipee-skippy!

And after all that, we went to the big Wheel of Excitement. When I spun it, I won 5 packs of the Mystery Island cards. When my mom spun it, she won the same thing! And if you're wondering, I got crap from the Rare Item codes. x_X

So uhh, yeah, that's it. It was cool though. I was the only person wearing a Neopets shirt. =D So if it's coming to your state, and you still like Neopets, go there! ^.^

That's cool! This should be posted on the PPT homepage :D I wish they would come to where I live because I'd love to see some of the artists.

Cool! You should have asked them to post your Faerie Kacheek drawing in the gallery, it could earn you a trophy. :)

Zero, we must live near each other because I went to it today also.

Things about it that I found quite unusual:
1. Lots of pre-teen girl gamers, which I found quite unusual because my daughter seems to be the "only" one at her school and, at times, is made fun of because of it.
2. Several adults, like me, who admitted to playing the online game and being "closet" Neopians.
3. No stuff for sale anywhere on the game site--I figured that there would be a booth at the end with a bunch of t-shirts, plushies, TCG cards to buy.
4. No McD's or Disney advertising anywhere.

I didn't get to see the artists--the line took forever. But, for the most part, the people working the tour were quite nice. I learned how to play the TCG game and actually beat my instructor. And, we got a lot of really nice stuff for free--I won 5 booster packs and my daugher (who did it twice) won a magazine, 2 booster packs, and a voice-activated toy. And, we both were given a complete TCG game starter set.

You get the starter set if you complete the activity where you learn how to play the TCG game. You have to complete 4 activities (one of which includes learning the TCG game) before you can spin the wheel to get one of the other prizes. However, you are always guaranteed a prize--which is nice.

I was extremely tired at the end--lots of walking from one side of the mall to the other and back again--but it was fun and definitely worth checking out if it comes nears your house. But, go early and give yourself at least 3 hours to do the 4 steps required to spin the WOE.

Dude, it was drawn in less than five minutes, in a red pencil, very lightly. No way they'd let it in. I wouldn't even let it in. o_o Maybe they'll accept the other stuff I enter, though! =D *goes to enter stuff*

Yeah, I noticed a lot of other girls there, too... Guess they live farther away or something. I saw a Nebraska liscense plate in the parking lot... maybe they came all the way here for it... o_@;;

When I was doing the demo thing with the giant cards, I was standing next to an adult, and there were a few on the other team.

And as for the ad thing, well, one of those electronic sign dealies was in front of where the artists were, and it was advertizing Lion King 2... XP

Oh. :oops:

Too bad there is no chance they would go here in Manila, even if we have a lot of malls doing a lot promos here. The TCGs aren't that popular, though, the last I can remember was the demo for harry potter (tcg). The neopets event is a full blown promotion but I doubt if they would go to manila. lol

Well, it wasn't in Chicago, it was in Orland Park. But that's pretty close to Chicago so it's all good. :D

The one in illinoise (i think it was this one) was the cloeset to me. I live in Iowa, and started school this week so I doubt I would have been able too.

Awesome luck with those cards though, I'm trying to collect all 100 mystery island cards. ^^;

That is very cool, hopefully they'll get back to you on the drawing. I wonder if one will skip around here to NJ, well it does but its on the very opposite side of the state, my luck.

I probably still wouldn't go to one if it came to my city (which is in Canada).... If I did, I'd wear a had and sunglasses and all that. I really would like to meet the artists though. That'd be so awesome, to get them to draw something for you (personally I'd try to get three pictures drawn: My Island Kougra, my Island Skeith and Jhuidah... :D).

Do you have a scanner? Do you think you could post the pictures they drew for you?
