I have 5 warnings so far (and 3 of them are things I didn't even do). I reported a girl for her username because it had a religious name in it. Seeing as that's what TNT did to a previous account of mine for just that reason. So she and a lot of people reported me for "harassing" that religion.

Now, I know I didn't break any rules, but TNT usually doesn't read the reports, but will warn you if many people report you. So is this the *last* end of my Neopets career?

You might get frozen, but you might not. I know people who have gotten dozens of warnings, but never got frozen. I also know people who got warned once, then frozen. It appears to be random amounts of warnings are awarded before freezings. My advice is-Lay low, don't do anything on neo for a while, and if you ever do report someone, don't talk about it, simply report them silently.

I suppose it's possible for you to get frozen, but I'm not really sure. If you aren't frozen or you decide to continue on Neopets, don't tell people you're reporting them, as in your current situation, they'll just report you back.

Also, you should try to contact Neopets about the false warnings you got and try to clear it up. If it happened a long time ago, it's probably too late. But if you have two true warnings, be careful about what you do on Neopets.

You aren't being stupid.. just well meaning. You want to give them an honest chance to understand why you think they did something wrong. However, not everyone is going to see it that way.

As for being frozen? It will depend on what they decided to report you on. Personally, Neopets has a consistancy issue when it comes to freezings. Just lay low, ignore the boards there and come chat with us much more intelligent folks

Yeah... I usually steer clear of the boards there, and stick with this forum.

I also suggest not reporting people unless they really offend you... if the religious name was used in a mocking or insulting manner, I'd understand, but venting AT&T (Anger at The Neopets Team) for something they froze you far by doing the same to someone else... eh.

My advice is to lay passive unless someone outright does something blatant.

Why did you report that person? Did their username offend you? I believe it's ok for a person having something related to religion/god/etc., as long as they don't discuss those subjects on the NeoBoards, for the sake of less argument between people. And also, NEVER report someone and say you reported them. They are just going to report you as a part of retailiation. They will either report you for misusing the reporting system, or harassment.

I have to ask as well, why would you report her for her username? Was it something along the lines of "ihatejesus45, godisdumb2"? If it was something positive, than it was very childish to report her. She might've been showing her love for the religion.

Anywho, posting on a topic which is bound to be frozen, might result in you being frozen as well. Therefore, I'd transfer my items, neopoints on a secondary account.

TNT should make an Account Frozen avatar and a NeoParadox avatar.
Then you get both avatars when they freeze your account

I have to agree with Ammer. I dont know if I'd call you childish,but..as long as its possitive and she isn't bothering anybody..leave her be.

I don't know if thats such a smart idea, suddenly transferring items to said account after getting a warning mite raise suspision and put you under closer watch, then you just mite get frozen also. I suggest just sit tight and try not to think about it or just not report people anymore...and was the name "just" religeous or offensive, I'm curious.

If I were you, I'd take a deep look into myself, and ask why I would want to report someone just because TNT froze me for the same thing.

I think this whole reporting system has gotten way out of hand on Neopets. It's often childish, retaliatory, or done out of jealousy. I have no problem at all with people reporting serious violations, such as true insults, real harrassment (not perceived slights), sexual innuendo, and attempts to gain a person's account. But most of the reporting I see being done is for small stuff -- newbie chain letters, double posting, not liking another person's opinion, etc. ad nauseum.

if you get the avatar, how do you use it then?

and hopefully tnt has forgotten about your previous warnings and will just give you another one... or better yet, just ignore the other peoples reports... good luck
