I know people SAY this all the time, but I really did lose neopoints from my bank last night - like 200k. I was just wondering if this had every happened to anyone else; I know there is no way NPT would fix that, but it really sucks to lose that much. It wouldn't be quite so bad except that two weeks ago they deleted 45 of the books my pet had read, and 25 on another pet. It irritates me that they just manipulate accounts at their whim! (thanks for letting me vent!)

Wow... How did you loose it, you just got on the computer, checked the banj and 200k was gone?:o
Submit a glich report, and if you had screenies of before and after it would help. I hope TNT will listen to this and fix the glich... :)

I had almost 450K when I went to bed last night; I got up this morning and checked my interest and thats when I noticed it was gone. I'm not even going to bother writing the NPT; they never respond. When I wrote them about my missing books on my Books Read list (I had to write 3 times to get an answer) they told me it was a "bug" and they could not replace the items. It seems sort of paranoid to print a page or save a screenie of my bank balance each night - I'm thinking if its THAT bad I just need to quit neopets! I'm basically glad school is about to start and I will have less time to obsess over it!
I've read posts by more experienced players than myself (I've only been on for 2 1/2 montsh) and they seem so disgruntled about the state of things on neopets. Maybe I came along after its peak, but is certainly does seem like there are more and more problems on site than even when I joined in.

Man, that sucks. The only thing i've lost from a glitch is a Piece Of A Treasure Map...i'm still waiting to be hit though by a nasty one...i'm afraid of that my turn will be next.

Good luck anyways!

Wow that stinks. I still have yet to be affected by glitch (or frozen), even though I've been playing three years, five months, and one day (heh, I like figuring things like that out).

Guess I'm just lucky.. of course I'm also afraid that any day now it'll happen. :o

I changed my password today just in case; if i was hacked I don't know why they didn't take all my petpets in my gallery too. Oh well. My 12 year old put it in perspective for me. He said, "Mom, glitches give and they take away," reminding me of the Happy Restocking Day. I'll live.

Ah... the restocking day. Now why can't more glitches be like that?

Hi pepa

I've been seeing posts on the boards with people saying that their bank balances have changed - mostly gone down, when they knew they hadn't done a withdrawal and they hadn't been hacked.

At first I'll be honest, I thought it was people just trying to get some sympathy and indirectly beg for stuff. But I've been seeing a decent amount of these posts for a couple of weeks now, and they're not just a newer player, some are people who've been on the site for a few years.

You've changed your password, that's always a good thing, just in case ... but this may be one more bizarre on again, off again glitch.

that's terrible to hear...there's no safe place to store your nps anymore...you can't have more than 40m in your np pool or it would be reset to 1 np..and now you can even trust the bank to keep your nps safe..

Welcome to PPT, pepa! --I saw what you wrote above and, because I am also a mom, had to chuckle. A few months back a glitch stole my Better Than You plushie that I had just paid 99,999 for. My daughter was sympathetic, but said that it kind of made up for the elephante transmog potion I had found in someone's shop the previous day for 500 nps. Guess she is right.

Anyway, I am not laughing at anyone's expense, OK? I really feel for you because you lost so much to this bank glitch --I wish TNT would get rid of their no compensation policy for lost items/nps and start realizing that these points equal a certain number of hours playing the game. And that our time is valuable. Don't get me started or I just might write a book on this . . .

However, I am surprised that the glitch didn't hit me--after all, I I think Neopets has christened me the "Glitch Fairy" because of all of the glitches that I have experienced (and, yet, silly me, I continue to play).

Anyway, if I can help in any way, please PM me, OK?

Thanks for responding Morningstar! I always read your posts and appreciate your wisdom! Happily, I checked my bank this a.m. and nothing was missing. Like I said, I'm not even going to bother writing in on this one, as they refused to replace my missing book list. I teach school and its back to work tomorrow, so I'll have less time to obsess about neopets, but I'll still play!

Oh, pepa, you are welcome. Me, wisdom? I think that comes with old (ha!) age. :P But, you are beyond wise--you are a teacher, therefore, you are truly a saint in my eyes.

I am happy to hear that nothing was missing today. But, you should write them anyway. I do every time--every glitch, every game score that doesn't go through, every time my shop/SDB/inventory disappears--even though I know I won't get anything back.

Why do I this? To keep reminding them that their game has flaws. And, to suggest to them, over and over again, that maybe they should compensate us for the items/nps lost due to these flaws. And, to continually remind them that, unless they compensate us for their mistakes, the game isn't fair.
