"The Blaze is on fire!" is the end of the "Plot"?

Wow. With the horrendous last 2 weeks of RL (and not improving a ton), Neopets has slid badly for me. I was not able to get 400 on the awful game, and therefore failed on those achievements. Of note, the game is now gone. Perhaps that is a good thing :)

I also did not get t Xendriks achievement because I read only 4 chapters on day of release (according to the achievement note)

Well, they did at least wrap it up somewhat. Another edition of The Lost Desert Daily is available to read. It helped make things make a little more sense, at least.

I guess? I don't know who half those kings are, and I was confused by rebel groups and the coup...

Didn't we last see the sword when the thief stole it from Lyra (whatever his name was)? How did Dacon get it from him? Or was the thief secretly related to Dacon and stole it for him? Meh.

I'm still firmly in the "never speak of this again" camp.

I got the same number of points as Daze. Is that the max? That bg is pretty. How good is the sword? Will JS nerf it?

I also go the 2110. Probably won't worry about trying to spend until later.

Reminder that the prize shop is closing in five days. For my fellow procrastinators, here's a handy chart that might help you (ugly, because BBC table coding is horrendously inefficient, as is inserting a screenshot of my spreadsheet).

I didn't spend a ton of time on each item and don't have SSW, so take the prices with a grain of salt. And don't assume because they're listed at a particular price they'll actually sell at that price, especially HTS items like toys.

The final column tells you the value per plot point, and the items have been sorted by value, so the "best values" are at the top. (Again, that doesn't mean you can actually expect to get those prices. I do NOT recommend buying a ton of wind-up soldiers!)

PP NP NP/PP
Blaze 1900 12,500,000 6578.9
Wind-up Soldier 20 99,000 4950
Lavish Lights 100 200,000 2000
Lyra Plushie 200 325,000 1625
Aurrick Plushie 200 300,000 1500
The Ruins of Thanyros Stamp 200 300,000 1500
Aymas Xendrik Bobblehead 200 300,000 1500
Sailing into the Sunset 1000 1,500,000 1500
The Complete History of Qasala and Sakhmet 500 600,000 1200
Desert Explorer Kit 20 21,000 1050
Handsome Horus 500 500,000 1000
Desert Crossbow 100 90,000 900
Little Bag of Bulgur 20 12,000 600
10 Things to Do in Sakhmet 60 29,000 483.3
Dates & Figs Bar 10 2,600 260

Thanks Siniri!

In case anyone needs the link: Prize Shop

I clearly did quite poorly on this event, as I have only 560 points to spend.

I was leaning towards the Complete history book, but am pondering one of each plushie. The book should appreciate in value, as it is a consumed item. Plushies are durable and do not vanish with use (unless your pet chews it up).

This may require a little thought now.

Reminder: you have 25 hours to spend those points before they disappear for good!

The book has already appreciated more than 4% in the past 6 days, Blue! (I didn't reprice the plushies, so I can't discuss how they did.)

The prizes are so lopsided, you could buy Blaze, turn around and sell it, and then buy two of each of the other prizes (with a third background for a bonus) without taking out additional NP. But then you wouldn't have Blaze, which is a very good weapon.

I went ahead and bought Blaze, the stamp, and a fig bar, then one each of the three books. The bg sadly is too pricey for my budget, no matter how gorgeous it is. (And that's based on the above price - it's jumped 53% in value in the past six days!)
