While it was 108°F here yesterday, it was decent in the garage with a couple of fans and keeping the doors shut. Air quality has been better lately. Fires are more under control and wind mostly going the other way.

Carburetor went in ok... but... now it is worse. I think I missed one of the vacuum lines, or one came off somewhere. At least I hope so. That beats the alternative, meaning something is really wrong. Holding out hope that it is just a leaky vacuum hose. Now the challenge is to find it. Ugh.

The one day off was good. I was able to get the old car registered "on time" at AAA to avoid a bunch of fees

I will agree that 63 is chilly for daytime. Great for sleeping. Wintertime, I set the thermostat at 60 overnight. Of course, I like to pile on the blankets/comforter. Hot summer night sleeping is difficult because I really prefer the weight on me at night. Those weighted blankets look awesome, but I have yet to buy one.

I can't stand heavy blankets. I can never have blankets/sheets tucked into the bottom of my bed - they're too heavy. I mean, I'll use warm blankets, but not too many. It hurts my knees.

I think last winter we kept it at 64. I'll see how I fare with 63. So far it's been tolerable.

Thankfully the lows are going back into the 50's starting tonight. Wed. will have a high of 83 with a low of 57. That's nearly perfect weather (just a little too chilly at night - we need a smidge more humidity).

Speaking of humidity, I need to order a new filter for my humidifier and clean it for the winter. It's in the living room. I'm a little worried about the pros/cons re: COVID-19, but it causes less of a breeze than the HVAC does, and higher humidity is supposed to be worse for the virus. And the riskiest housemate (right now) doesn't spend basically any time in the living room, really... (She is mostly only here to sleep in her room with the door closed.)
