i've just gone onto neopets after getting up, and i've been logged out. has this happened to anyone else?

Oooh, question about cookies, i've got XP, and one of my housemates is moving in this evening, so i'm gonna make her an account on my pc so she can access the internet etc. will my cookies be kept separate from hers?

If you have seperate accounts, your cookies wil be different. They have the name of the account, then the site/page ref on them.

I got logged out yesterday while restocking... Every time I get logged out I check the address, I'm terrified of getting hacked...

Becareful that your friend doesn't cheat on your computer though. . .your account may be in jeopardy since it's on the same computer.

I get logged out a lot but nothing has ever been stolen or anything. it really bugs me.

I got logged out yesterday whilst playing a game. As long as its got the Neopets login address at the top, and the new style login page, Account Name then Password + Security code, its just a security thing

i doubt she would, i trust her, i'd trust her with my real money, let alone my np. it wont be for very long i'll be sharing my computer, we just havent got a router yet, so only one computer can be online at once, so it just turned out to be mine as i'm here first.

Last night I was logged out twice. The first time I freaked out and changed my password. I came on PPT, but no one had posted about it, so I was pretty scared. The second time I figured they must be moving servers or something and just continued what I was doing.

So far (fingers crossed) that has not happened to me. I'd be freaking out if it did!

Alot of people (according to the boards) have been being randomly logged out lately, so it may be a server thing, or maybe if you're one of those people who never log out, it just does it from time to time?

Starry, I never knew that about the cookies - that they were different! I thought Neo went by IP, but maybe that's just if someone's using an ab, or TNT thinks someone's multi main account cheating (making up alot of "main" accounts on different emails, making np and sending them all to one account).

I know the games used to have your email in the game addy, then they went to dob, now they just have the username and a bunch of numbers - which does change. So how they now check on who's playing games I don't know!

R4chel, I have a friend (known her for over 20 years) who uses my computer for Neo (she doesn't have one, can't afford it)...I somehow figured out how to have her log onto my computer (have XP too)...don't ask me how, I'd never figure it out again. She has her own email and account. We don't have each others' passwords to anything, I don't store any passwords and asked her not to (so we have no way of accessing each other's accounts ... and I have a safer surfing policy of clearing cookies/temporary internet/history after every site visited, which I passed onto her too.
