You know that Halloween is just around the corner when the Haunted Faire comes into town! Apple Bobbing Bart has once more set up his cart in the Haunted Woods... Why don't you try it out? We heard there are new prizes available this year... and perhaps there is more to come?

At the moment it is just normal site things:
Wheel of Misfortune
Apple Bobbing

Also a quest is involved at some point: MASKS OF DREAD (not yet released).

The other 'coming soon' feature will be the NC portion called Haunted Hijinks and will run from the 19th to the 31st of October.

There is also a dedicated Neoboard.

So another little event for Halloween. I like how we get mini events now, it really breaks up the monotony between plots.

Just my luck -- instead of a new prize, I dropped an item into the water. Of course I never visit with anything but junk, so no worries.

Thanks for the info, Daze. Masks of Dread sounds fun. I hope they ask for real items; I've been saving all my spooky food all year just in case.

You're welcome. :)

OMG! When it says 'you dropped an item' does that mean something disappears from your inventory? I did not know that. I hope I have not lost anything too expensive. I have a habit of not emptying my Inventory.

You learn something new everyday. 8)

Whatever is in store, I really doubt it will surprass the Tale of Woe. It reached a standard of Halloween fun which will not be forgotten. 8)

Apple Bobbing, depending on the outcome, will lose you an item. I know I lost a book there, so I always quickstock everything to my SDB first.

Tale of Woe was a plot.....a pretty impressive plot. :) This is just a mini-event to go along with Halloween. Just a little more than what we would normally get. So I hope no-one starts getting their hopes up.

Actually, losing an imposter apple is one way to get the avatar (the other is to receive an imposter apple). It took me about 2 or 3 weeks to get the avvie by always visiting with only an imposter apple in my inventory, so it's rare, but it does happen.

I didn't know that either. I was lucky enough to get the avatar within a few attempts by finding an imposter apple.

Haunted Hijinks has opened.

Quote:
Before smashing any ghosts, you must first stop by the NC Mall and pick up a Menacing Mallet or two (or thirteen).

Quote:
It seems that spirits are rising at the local graveyard, and the only way to put them in their place is with a crushing blow from a Menacing Mallet. Each time you take out one of the graveyard's 13 ghost during the Haunted Hijinks event, which runs from October 19th through the 31st, you'll earn an exclusive NC item. So, what are you waiting for? Get after those ghosts!

The Masks of Dread is now open.

It is like the negg hunt. This is an entirely FREE part of the halloween event (if you click on the mask while it is on your pet in the quest page, it gives a note about the nc mall - this is NOT required).

The quest is given in the box. Visit a couple of places and voila! done.
