It was updated on the 2nd October and was advertised in last weeks news.

Yeah, it's been like that for a few days now. It's finally forced me to right down my information should I ever need to login somewhere else.

I hate the direction Neopets is going. Ever since they sold the company the whole look of the sight has been overhauled into this kiddy-ness.

I also think that the reason why the password is on a separate page is so that you can't just save it on a computer by accident.

The password was always on a separate page. Well, since sometime in 2002 or something like that. Can't remember exactly when but it's been like that for some time. The new page is the same as it was but with a load of flashy graphics and the updated image of your neopet.

I agree I like the old one better. But I say that so often that it makes me worry that I'm not really considering the merits of the new thing correctly. So it's good to have someone agree with me so I know I'm not totally crazy.

I feel like that most every day. This summer I was working with 7 year-olds. On my birthday they asked me how old I was turning and when I said 17 they went "Oh gosh! You're 10 years older than us!" I think I had a mild breakdown that day xD

It was quite a shock to me, since I just started playing neo again after a few months. I liked the old one a lot better, and I feel so sorry for those still on slow connections.

Sadly it just seems like another step in kiddification to me.

Somehow, Neopets had a more "sophisticated" feel to it before it switched to Web 2.0 stuff. At least, as sophisticated as a virtual pet site can be.

(By the way, you really shouldn't be logged in into your computer as an administrator beyond necessity).
