Just a heads-up:

In Ultimate Bullseye 2, when you get a bullseye in round 10, you receive a notification: "You've gotten 3 more tries!"

It used to be that you really only got one more...

HOWEVER....

That problem has now been fixed. You now do get 3 more tries, and can get zeroes on the first two if you like. Why you would like to I have no idea, but hey, it's your call.

Interesting follow-up:

When you hit the target while using either the expanding powerup or the moving powerup, you receive another powerup as well.

Therefore, if you use the multi-shot powerup, and hit target three times while using either the expanding or shifting powerup (personally, I recommend expanding), then you will receive three powerups in exchange.

This also works if you use the blue-ring powerup and the multi-shot - for every on-the-plank hit, you get an extra powerup.

shapu, you sound like an Ultimate Bullseye aficianado. :D

I used to be pretty good at the old version of the game. I loved it, got addicted but then everything changed.

Do you have any tips for coping with the extreme change to the 'depth perception' aspect of the game? Also, for the life of me I can't seem to figure out how to be accurate with the new 'bullseye-shaped power meter'.

Now I regret complaining about the little quirks of the old game and I do admit I like the opportunity for several extra power-ups at once in the new version.

However, I can't seem to improve much in the new game. Anyone have any actual 'aiming tips'?

Tip 1: Never fire at the starting level, unless the target is actually even with or below the turtum.
Tip 2: For most target locations, you'll want to tap the ballista up by 1 unit.
Tip 3: For targets that "seem" high up, they ARE high up - adjust the ballista up by 2.
Tip 4: Occasionally, balloons will appear much higher than the ballista, but right on top of it. I adjust my aim up by 4 units at that point, and try to drop the arrow down.

Other than that, not a lot. Just remember, if the arrow lands to the RIGHT of the bullseye, you fired too hard. If it lands directly above or below the bullseye, you used the right force but not the right angle. If it lands to the left, you didn't use enough force.

I couldn't play the old version for the life of me. But I am loving this version.

In contrast to Shapu's style, I never adjust my arrow unless there are balloons (and occasionly for the punchbag).

The way in which I play:

Shots without balloons:
1. Don't move arrow, only adjust power - close shots power is just under 1/2 (just before the arrow tip), middle distance shots is 1/2 power (on the arrow tip) and long distance shots are just over 1/2 (just over the arrow tip). I have never needed much more power.

2. Save powerups until last shot.

3. If I have it, I always use the reverse bullseye (blue) powerup and slightly raise arrow to hit the board for a Bullseye and another 3 shots.

Shots with balloons:
1. Angle arrow up slightly and use 1/2 power or less, so after you hit the balloon the arrow falls into the target.

With Punchbag Bob, try to keep power under 1/2 or under, usually any more will send it straight past.

My highest score is 166 and managed the bronze medal. I still have a long way to go before reaching silver or gold.

I hope that between our different styles, you will find a way that suits you, Anjuna. :)

EDIT:

New Highscore of 230!! :)

Wow, thanks SO much shapu and Daze. You are awesome!

I really am intrigued by and like the contrasting approaches and think both tactics would end up in a great combo resulting in success. :>

Got my highest so far: 259 and the gold trophy. :)

Hmmmm, I don't know if it is a new thing, but if you get the extra 3 hits for getting a bullseye on the last shot and miss the first bonus shot, the game ends without you getting the last 2 bonus shots.

I thought I was imagining it the first time, but it just happened again.
