I stopped playing neopets after the makeover, but I went back today to see whats up there. I saw the thing with neocash. I don't really get it. There are still regular neopoints right? Can someone explain this as well as filling me in on any big events since the makeover? Lastly, have any of the redrawn pets been put back to normal?

P.S. I've been to PPT before but I forgot my username and password so I made a new account.

Basically you can buy neocash using real money. I think its 1US dollar = 100NC (correct me if I'm wrong).

The items in the NM also expire after a certin period of time.

I'm not very fond of the idea at all, but thats just me.

Thanks. I don't really like that idea either, just another reason for me to not play anymore. And I worked really hard too, all my pets were painted. Is neocash worth more, less, or the same as neopoints? Is it possible to customize without spending real money?

Neocash is not worth NP at all. It is non transferrable, and can only be used to buy customizable items for your pet. (And the items bought with NeoCash cannot be transferred, that way people cannot use real life money to get items and sell them).

NC Mall items expire a certain period after purchase, some 180 days, others have 90 days, but they will all expire eventually. When that happens, you have to repurchase it.

You can customize your pet for free by buying wearable items with np. Certain items (purchased with Neopoints) can only be worn on certain pets, so make sure it can be worn by your pet before you buy it.

My personal favorite is the "Down with NC" flag... for 5000nc ($50 US).

I think it's actually a decent attempt at humor. They knew this mall was unpopular among veteran members, so they made a joke item--and then, to make it "unbuyable," they gave it a ridiculous price. That way, everyone knows it's a joke item, and they're not trying to be stupidly ironic by selling us a Neocash item proclaiming that Neocash shouldn't exist.

It would be fun for them to have a counter on the page so we can see how things are selling

Luckily I got to keep the items from the beta testing on my pet But I cannot take them off or change them to another pet, they are still showing up, just not there.
