Is it magical?

Remember when pet days would come around, and new avatars would be released in celebration? Yeah, that was cool.

I always get so jealous when pet days fall on a weekend and TNT gives pet owners a whole weekend for training. :/

And when they'd make new weapons, books, and food. Normal chias are hideous, but this is one of the worst pet days yet. I'd hate to be a fan and check the news to see this. I doubt the chia pop is magical. If it were, they would have posted a picture of a black cherry chia along with it.

Oh my gosh, YES. What happened to new weapons, books, and food!?!?!?

The Chia Pop doesn't seem to be released yet... It's not searchable?

Also... Chia Pops are sold in the Super Happy Icy Fun Snow Shop, not the Food Shop!

Something mentioned in the news hasn't been released. SHOCK!!!

Grrrr I wish they'd actually release things when they announce them, it's what used to make owning a gallery fun - checking the news for new items etc. There's not much point if you don't know if you'll be able to buy it in the near future.

And how ugly is the pink chia? Seriously.

Erm, for chocolate chia day... there's not much chocolate in the news...

It's just called that. XD; Kind of like how other pets have 'fancier' sounding days.



I think it was because it used to be called 'sex potion' or whatever, and had male/female signs on it. Then the site became all kid-friendly and 'sex' was a taboo word. XD;

Yeah, this day is really poop. 5 new items. Gnomes of that. A Chia pop that'll probably be never released.

But alas! Do not fret!

The news just keeps losing its appeal.
Reallly... nothing exciting. No new releases, no nothing. And even a horrible artist like I can color a Chia outline pink and spike the edges and say it's ice. Horrible colors, horrible items,
and almost 90 days since the last avatar release, iirc.

The last avatar was back in... october, was it?
They used to do an avatar every day or so. I suppose they're not for half-measures, like an avatar a week.
Most interesting thing are the neogreetings.

Hmmmn... since they changed ownership I wonder just how much has changed behind the scenes. Could be that there is a new team in charge who just didn't follow the game closely to see how is used to run. Could be that corporate doesn't want to shell extra money into something that is already generating income.

It makes me wonder what the player stats have become. Are they the same as they were this time last year? Or have Neopets gained/lost players? If they've GAINED players, I doubt much will change. They're doing less, paying out less, and making more. If they've lost players, I wonder how long the trend of meager updates will last before they wake up and start fixing their errors.

And that's a worrying state of affairs... after nearly getting fired over the ToW plot (not being able to resist playing when I should have been working) I'm actaully fairly glad that there is no longer anything to tempt me onto neo.

But only a little bit.

So... it's one of my Chia's free training days, and I'm still being asked to pay for his training.

Why?
