You heard it right! A company by the name of MumboJumbo Games will create a Premium Casual PC (Computer) Game. This means they are going to release a Puzzle Game (or something close) like Bejeweled, or even Pinball. So basically we'll be able to go into regular stores like Wal-Mart, Target, Kmart, Best Buy, ect.. and pick up a game we can play offline on our computers! It sounds very exciting!

The game is supposedly going to be released the second quarter of this year. So it most likely will come out between April - June.

To see a bunch of News Articles about it, click this link: http://news.google.com/news?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wn&q=Neopets&btnG=Search

So what you guys think about this?

I would be enthusiastic about this, except for the part where there probably will never be a Mac port of it. :(

So, basically instead of logging in to Neopets and playing puzzle games for free, we can make a trip and go buy one instead? Somehow, I'm not the least bit excited.

Well a few things, the PC game won't be just some cartoon graphics, it will most likely be 3D and computer graphic as games like it are.

Also, sometimes they do make games for both Windows & Mac, you never know.

I would really love to see a MMORPG PC Game for Neopets, but it most likely won't be with this company as they haven't made such games.

I'm still not excited. At all. I could unstand if it were a game like The Darkest Faerie or Petpet Adventures, because those are games that you can't realistically expect to play from a simple web browser. Neopets already has a couple 3d shockwave games, and I'm not understanding what's making this special.

Well I think Neopets is trying to get some new products released to back up the company to make it stick out and be more sophisticated. I think it will be awesome because it will expand the fun Neopets experience off the web but still be on the computer. Plus, it will give us something to do when Neopets is down for maintenance lol

I agree, this doesn't get me excited at all. It'd basically be fancier versions of neopets games that we wouldn't get np for. Which is basically why I play the games on neopets anyway. If all I wanted to do was waste time offline, I'd go play me some Chip's Challenge or something.

This seems like another one of the parent company's ideas...not exactly exciting or important for the site at all..

Well you can't exactly bag the game yet, it hasn't even came out yet. Who knows? It might have RICs implemented into the game or even some other secret features put in it.

I agree. I'll withhold final judgment until I see some screen caps and more info on actual game play, but as of yet, I'm not holding my breath.

I agree, but change the "be a mac port of it" to "come out in the UK" :P

Mumbo Jumbo makes some good PC games and most of them have to option to go on a "World High Score Board". I'm sure they will probably link it to the site and offer neopoints/high score board with trophies/avatar/RIC's for the game. Well, OK, not SURE they will but I would if I was designing it, and the old TNT (read: before corporate buy out) would probably reward you for buying their stuff.

I'm pumped to try it out at least since the video games didn't come out for Nintendo users. :P

Edit: Yeee-Haw! 50th post! Now I'm not a new member anymore. :D

Yeah to keep interactivity between both the site and PC Game I'm sure they will involve some sort of prizes for online through the game. MumboJumbo makes lots of fun games, so I'm sure we won't be dissappointed.
