For the Editorial portion of the Neopian Times there is a question about the PPL contest from hotgirl1987. Could someone explain the second part of the answer to me? I'm just curious, is there a specific example of this?

If I understand it right, basically if there used to be a petpet but it was changed to a food or some other item and not some type of petpet, those few who still have the retired petpet attached and unchanged can never get a PPL for having it. In otherwords, there will never be a PPL award for those petpets.

I don't know of any petpets that were changed to a food or item though.

There was a glitch years ago that allowed people to attach any item as a Petpet.

Yeah, it (and a lovely faerie eyrie) were on the servers for quite some time. I asked a staffer about them a while back and she said they will never be released (unfortunately). They may be redrawn by a different artist and released that way, but not as the current versions. I just hope the new eyrie is as good (or better), because I really wanted to make mine that color.
