Oh my gosh, I forgot to log off neopets when I was goofing around on the computer at the library and now someone's gotten into my account!!!
It's very odd, they put lots of stuff from my SDB into my inventory and shop but haven't sold any of it yet, they transferred 100k nps out of my bank account into my "on hand" nps but haven't apparently spent any, my pets are still in my account and their petpets are still attached, my pw hasn't been changed and neither has my email address. I've changed my pw and logged out, is there anything else I should do?

I did the same thing once. I took it as a "watch what you leave unguarded" type of warning... I made sure to think twice before I closed a browser window when I wasn't at home. At least they didn't actually take anything.

I think you've pretty much covered it. Just as long as your password is changed, you should be fine. You really need to log off of the library computer, though. I'm not sure, but wouldn't you still be logged in there (unless someone logged you off)?

Yeah, but that also really scares me, cause he/she could still be wandering around in my account...
edit: It's 9:30 at night, I really can't get back to the library now. If I could, I would. Maybe I can convince my mom to make a quick stop in the morning on the way to Driver's Ed.

How do they get onto your account when you are still logged in?

I was playing on a library computer, and didn't log off neopets before I left, so anyone who accessed the neopets site after me would be in my account just by coming to the site.

I believe that since you can only be logged on at one computer at a time (that IS true, isn't it?), then you'd be logged off at the library. Also, I believe that if you change your password, log off, and log back in with the new password, if someone tries to log in on your account at the library, it will prompt for a password..

Don't worry, nobody is wandering in your account, if you change your password, your account will be logged off even if its on a diffrent computer.

Consider yourself lucky that nobody stole anything from you.

And Johnnydontgo, that isn't true, I'm logged into my account on my dads, my moms and my computer at the same time and I never log off unless I change my password.

I've been logged on to at least two computers at a time before, but I've never tried changing a password, logging out, and checking to see if I logged off all the computers I was logged on to. But I'm hoping the last bit is true.

I'm glad I can't go to Neopets at school, at home I almost never click the Logout button. Heh.. ^_^;

Consider yourself VERY lucky dude. Check EVERYTHING in your account. Especially your user e-mail ;

Sounds like an incidence of "getting everything ready to transfer from your account" - "logging out of your account to set up trades" and "forgetting that they didn't have the pass to your account". If you didn't lose anything, consider yourself lucky and be more careful next time neh?

I actually did that to a friend of mine (FRIEND, mind you, not stranger). We frequented the same internet cafe, and she left her account open. Everyone at this place played neopets, so I opened a shop, and put her NP in the bank, lol. Then I closed it, and sent her a neomail.. "CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT, FOOL!" Then I sent her all the codestones for the av. Needless to say, she got over it.

I have to try and remember to log out more to. I let my kids use my pc and if im not watching they click on anything and everything. Last year they wasted about 50k in some persons shop
