Is that the new Darigan book from the Altador Cup prizes? If so, your best bet would be to look for it on the Trading Post and see what people are, on average, asking for it.

Expecially since it is a book. If someone is trying to get on the "book reading highscore list" (Or whatever its called) they will need that book. Since they are used up, there will be less and less of them over time. I doubt demand will change much, so eventually, that book could be worth quite a bit! :O

I followed your advice and bought one for 120k. I guess I'll have to wait to see whether this is something I'll gloat or cry about later.

Right now they seem to asking 150-200k on the TP, with of course a few crazies asking for much much higher.

I hope they inflate! Right now they seem to be doing the opposite, I suppose since so many people are in a hurry to sell their prizes, but it is retired...

Do you should I should buy more? I don't want to tie up too much np in this, but I can't resist the thought of getting three or four in my SDB now and selling them at double or triple a year later. ^^;

Well, I'll join in then. I just placed a bid on a 'Spooking the Competition'. Come to think of it... galleries, book awards; yeah it should come out alright - after a loooong wait.

EDIT: Got it: 'Spooking the Competition' (and a Poison Tipped Dagger ) for 230K, a Ten Dubloon Coin, and a Bottled Air Faerie. And with that, most of my bank account is emptied... on 2 books... Ah well - now to let them rot in my SDB.

EDIT2: I actually got my Coin and Faerie back from the trader, they offered it themselves. I did send them a Thanks Card afterward.

And while all that was happening, as if feeling my pain, Neopets, as if feeling my pain, decided to bless me with a random codestone .

I only had 22 AC points, so couldn't get any books myself. I bought all four for 750k A lot of neopoints, but at least now they're somewhat affordable. I sold the LDP books I got and still regret that I didn't buy and read all of them.
