So really a more reasonable date would be summer 2008

Frankly, I'd say the longer, the better. Most other movies based on video games have been flying sacks of crap, so I'm going to assume the same for this.

I attribute the "flying sacks of crap" adjective with the Neopets movie simply because it's a Neopets movie. ^_^

But yeah, we're all gonna long forget about there being a movie before the darned thing comes out, that's for sure.

1) You do know, that Neopets the movie will probably be complete and utter crap? ;) Live action movies of WEBSITES= doesn't work.

2) Knowing TNT it won't be out until 2050.

Really? I heard 2036. :?

I don't think all movies based on video games look bad - but I've only seen one. :P I agree, though, that if you haven't played the game then yes, the movie will be bad. I saw FFVII Advent Children, and it was only good to me because I'd played the game beginning to end. If I hadn't played the game it would have been one of my least favourite movies ever. Seriously.
On the other hand, some of the other movies coming out now I wouldn't even consider watching on TV... :P

For the neopets movie: It's probably been cancelled because of the fan reaction. If most of the neopets players won't go to see it just because it's neopets, what's the point in making the movie? Yeah, promotion, but that's some pretty expensieve promotion for something that nobody's even going to bother to see. Also, the risk of a movie flopping doesn't sound like good promotion.
But that's just my opinion. *Shrugs* They can make it if they want. I'll watch it when it comes on TV.

But Doom was fraggin awesome - and I heard Resident Evil wasn't bad - I'd have to agree about the rest though (I haven't seen em but they sound rubbish ;))
