When I went to collect interest today, I noticed I was missing 20-30k in the bank. I really think this was a glitch and not someone in my account. Nothing else was missing and there was almost 3 million in the bank. My shop and shop till were not touched. I have over 600k np on hand that would have been easier to get than going to the bank for it.

Do you think this is a glitch or has someone been in my account?

Either an oddball was in your account, or it was a glitch. I'm leaning towards glitch myself, but it doesn't hurt to change your password.

my np on hand keeps changing between 662k to 820k. It was supposed to be 682k. One minute at 662k next 820k then back to 662k. This is making no sense. The extra money on hand is not coming from my bank or shop till. I cannot remember which of my 3 email addresses I used to sign up with and I cannot find where to change my password.

EDIT: ok, I calmed down and changed my password. Does this mean anyone who was on my account was logged out?

Most of the time if someone is in your account they take EVERYTHING, not just a measly 20-30k. Plus, two people can't be in the account at once so one of you would have been logged off

I've never heard of a hacker who took little bits at a time.

Do you have siblings that could of decided to go about fooling around with your account?

I have two kids, both of them were sleeping. The amount is no longer changing. I have 20k missing from bank and 20k missing from np on hand. Oh well, it could have been much worse.

Well, I hope your kids are sleeping well. :)

Thats a great way to look at this kinds of things, it can allways be worse than it is.

You had it easy. Knowing that you have that much money you could probably regain the amount you lost quite quickly. I've heard of similar glitches, but they all involved shop tills.

I've seen some posts on the site where people have said that the amount of np they have on hand or in the bank was changing, but that was late last week and through the weekend. No matter the amount, I'm sorry that you're having that problem.

Shifty, I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago - sold something for a little over 70k, showed up in my sales history but never got the np. I've been tentative since then to price the things just sitting in my shop stock.

Actually, I was more worried about the possibility of someone being in my account than the missing 40-50k. People have lost much more than I have in glitches, so I have no problem accepting my glitch. I just got nervous that someone was moving np around. My pets are all still there, their equipment is still there. SDB is still full and shop and till were not touched. I am pretty sure this would not be the case if someone had been in the account. Each time I refreshed the amount of np on hand was changing. It really looked like someone was moving np around.

Casi, I completely understand you being nervous (to say the least) seeing your np amount changing before your very eyes. I'd be going :o and changing my password every 2 minutes.

Most hackers/scammers, if they get into your account will just take everything. However, that doesn't mean they'll take it all at once, though most do. I was scammed (fake log in page) when I was fairly new and didn't know about them. The scammers did empty out my bank. However, they started slow - just a few k here and there and I never thought about it, I figured I wasn't remembering the np I had correctly! Then one day Bam! 0 in the bank and then I was frozen for falling for a scam. I guess the scammers moved too many np at one time.

Yes, I got the account back (after about 2 months), had all my items and my pets!, just no np.

So be vigilant, clear your cookies and temporary internet, change your password again just to be totally safe and keep us posted if anything else happens, ok?

Ive had this happen too....after i buy somthing the np amount will go back-and-forth from my np on hand before i bought the item, and the np amount after i bought the item...it usually quit after a while.

I've noticed the past week that my neopoints on hand change back and forth too. But I think it has something to do with placing bids on auctions. The neopoints are subtracted as soon as you place a bid now, and put back if your bid isn't the winner.... I think.... o_O

Looking to buy Snowbunny Stamp and Sticky Snowflake Stamp. If you're selling, please PM me!
