Since we're in a plot, weapons have inflated badly. but I reccomend an Essence of esophagor, or earth faerie slingshot instead of the oBsidian dagger.

It would be helpful to know exactly how much money you want to spend. With war inflation the cheapest 9 icon weapon will cost 100-110k(ice club). I also see you do not have the ability burrow, this would give you some defence for another turn. This would cost training 2 levels plus buying 3 earth fairys(aprox 18k). Next is the Snowglobe Staff, if you do manage to freeze your opponand and it dont break you dont have any bombs to hit him with. Sand snowballs do 9 icons of damage and cost 90-100 nps.

Can anyone help me improve my pet's battling?

I have a spending limit of 100K, so I'm at a loss because of my tiny budget. If you can help me, I'm very thankful! The highest I can attack right now is about 24hp off Kasuki Lu... >.< And I couldn't even kill the mommy moach in the newest plot...

My stats:

Level : 30
Health : 60 / 60
Strength : GREAT (36 )
Defence : GREAT (36 )
Move : GREAT (38 )

Weapons:
Volcanic Blow Gun
Golden Geraptiku Talisman

Bubble Shield (Level 1)
Magic Pebbles (Level 1)

I also have:

This guy only has 38 hp's so you should be able to beat him with what you already have, try this:
First turn use scarab ring and obsidian dagger plus the ability burrow on weak
2nd turn scarab ring + obsidian dagger with ability heal on weak
3rd round if needed scarab ring + obsidian dagger and use defend
If this dont work come back and will help more.

Thanks! I won him!

Wow. Been a while since anyone posted here.

Looking to get my pet to a point where he is Def of Neopia / plot worthy (ie getting to the point of weapon prizes) etc.

Darigan Lupe

Lvl : 30
Str : 57
Def : 19
Mov : 32
Hp : 60 / 60

Weaps are pretty weak at the moment -

Mud Mixture
Leaf Shield
Slime Potion
Downsize!
Scarab Ring
Caustic Potion
Illusens Earth Potion
Illusens Potion

I have 3mil in pure, plus another mil in stocks, and about 8mil in items that i dont want to sell - Maraquan PB and Draik Trans Potion ^^. But i dont really want to spend more than 1-1.5mil tbh unless necessary.

Currently training def towards the 35 break, then thinking about taking str to the 85 break, and max the hp along the way. Not sure what kind of stats i should be aiming for. Guessing mov is still useless? Not sure if def is worth it in 1P?

Not sure what to do about weapons. Was thinking about trying for one of the NQII weapons (only able to do Evil, haven't unlocked insane :/), but a bit worried about playing through it and getting a crappy one lol. Set would only be for 1P. Thanks in advance.

Chris.

Hmmm...I don't know whether or not you'll like these suggestions, but:
Stone Club
Golden Compass
Ice Club
Psellia's Fighting Fan
Cloudy Wand of Storms (among others) are all good 9-icon weapons in the 100k range that I would take a look at. Eh...the Blue Scorchstone is about 35k and heals 30 HP, but everything better than that is much more expensive. That's all for now, hope I could help!

Once you reach about 80 HP or so, you'll want to switch from a Blue SS (which, for what your current stats are, is the best choice) up to a Greater Healing Scroll (Heals 50 HP and is not breakable, only around 45,000 np or so)

For more detailed advice on training stats, weapons, etc. you can register at the IDB Forums and post in the Weapon Advice and Comparisons forum. They'll give you great advice on what you should get for your set, based on your stats and budget.

Re: WEAPON ADVICE & RECOMMENDATIONS

Defence is actually pretty important. Yes, you can get away with low defence, but it gets harder and harder. I've got a pet with 272 Strength, 574 Health, and 21 Defence; and a fairly nice set(including a Downsize!, Honey Potion, Ramtors Spellbook, and Stone Club). I'm still stuck on the Mootix Warrior. It turns into a race--can you kill them before you run out of HP? Also, if you have low defence, eventually only percentage blockers are of use. Not being able to use stat blockers turns into a problem when you choose your defence items.

NQ2 is worth the time, since A) you get a nice trophy and 30,000 NP(if I recall correctly) along with the weapon, B) three of the four weapons are an upgrade from your current stuff--Ramtors Spellbook and Scuzzys Comb are 10-iconers, and Halo of Devilpuss is a 6-10 iconer, and C) you can try for an Insane-level prize later.
There's also the Pike Pike, which you can get (if you're very lucky) from Underwater Fishing, so that's another place to try for a good weapon.
Ditch the potions from your set as soon as you can. They're decent at a very low level, but your pet is pretty much too strong for them to be much use now. The Downsize will become much more useful later, but for now it may not be the best choice.
I agree that the Stone Club or Ice Club would be good choices. you may want to start with one of these, sell it during a high point in the market, and when the market comes back down either get a Golden Compass or upgrade to 10-iconers. Look also at some of the other weapons Cranberry recommended earlier in this thread:
Obsidian Dagger
Enchanted Wooden Bow
Earth Faerie Slingshot
Earth Faerie Bow
Tyrannian Lupe Tooth
Essence of Esophagor, Psellias Fighting Fan

A Honey Potion is probably the bomb for you. I don't know of any better multi-use options in that price range(the next step up would be a Rainbow Clockwork Grundo), and it's what I'm using currently. Its big downside is that it's almost pure Earth icons, so you have to use it strategically.
I agree with Siouxper on the Greater Healing Scroll for healing. There's this unpleasant gap between the GHS and any next-step-up healer, unfortunately, so you'll probably have it for a while.
You can start with the Obsidian Dagger(an awesomely cheap 7-iconer) and put together a set as you review your options and choose weapons. Defence is a little trickier, as it'll change depending on the opponent. A Leaf Shield can be great on one opponent but useless on the next. You can collect defence items as needed for different opponents while you progress through Defenders of Neopia. Cranberry suggested the following in the aforementioned post:
Leaf Shield
Patched Magic Hat(Fire, Air, and Physical)
Sophies Magic Hat(Fire, Earth, Dark, and Physical)
Shiny Shoal Shell Shield(Water, Earth, Air, and Physical)
Earthen Scorchstone(Air, Dark)
Mystical White Cloak(Air, Light, Dark)
Virtupets X-514 Super Shield(Water, Light, Earth, Dark, and Physical)
They're all stat-blockers, so be sure to train defence while you're still using the Academy.

I agree with training defence, most battledome forums are filled with posts from people who wished that they had trained defence while it was cheap. Due to Tarla giving away 100 dubloon coins, training with dubloons is very cheap right now.

Sorry I didnt see this till today. Looks like its time to upgrade to 9 icon weapons. You should check out the ice club and the stone club, both 9 icons and both around 75k, for around 100k you can get a golden compass. Next is your freezer, its a pretty low % chance of a freeze, the upgrade is the snowglobe staff at around 30k and a 20% chance of freezing. I personally used the black frost cannon, its around 350k and a 23% freezer. Your healer should be ok till you get around 75 hp's, then get a greater healling scroll. Keep your leaf shield and get a honey potion for when you freeze your opponant. Prices are pretty low now, when the next plot starts most of these weapons will jump in price.
