I've just started playing.
How far into the game is the avi?

What rewards are there for completing the game?

Also, have the graphics been changed? I seem to remember playing it years ago, before NQ2 came out and the graphics were rubbish, but now they seem to be more in line with NQ2

The avvy is about 4/5's of the way through the game.

You have to pretty much complete the Mountain Fortress stage to get it.

Then one more main section to go to get the trophy.

Actually, it's the Temple of Roo stage you have to have almost completed, about 3/5(ish, I take a break in between stages, so I don't really know) of the way through the game.

Indeed it does

Yes. When you do a user lookup, or go on the neoboards, you will see the avatar that people are using.
If you go to http://avatar.starried.net there is a list of all available avatars and how to get them.

What level should I be to defeat the Archmagus of Roo? I'm lvl32 at the moment and just died

Following this guide, including skills, I beat him at level 32 (probably half way through level 32)

You shouldnt have died. I suggest you re-check the guide you are following
