someone on said on the board that lutari island will be avalable on the site and all for everyone and that it will be on the "other side of neopia" and i say its only for cell phones for that game they told us about. what do you think?

Maybe not, since not all people have cell phones and since little kids also play, they might want to go there too.

Or the fact that most people are not crazy enough to pay for extras like net access on there cellphones!

Most cellphones these days automatically come with internet access, both of mine do (dont ask why i have 2) it only costs about 3c per page or something, thats in nz tho

I think it will probably be cell phones only but I'd rather it be available for everyone with internet access. I don't have a cell phone but the one that I sometimes barrow for rare call doesn't have internet. Some phones can be really expensive and to me it would be really annoying having to look at a screen that small and navigate on it.

I actually work for a company that sells several different kinds of cell phones, and none of them are automatically with internet. You need to put internet on them (in your cell phone plan) for cheaper rates...or else, you will be paying like almost 10 cents a page view, which can get very costly!

Yea i cna understand how itd be different in the states.. alberta is in the states right? here in new zealand though you wouldnt find a cellphone without internet access, we have to set up to pay for video calling etc but youd only find second hand phones now without internet access.

As for navigating around alot (in refrence to what another person said) maybe it'd be more just downloading neopets wallpapers and ring tunes or something, i dunno, just a theory on that one,

Do you happen to know if the old Nokia "clone phones" are able to access these sort of things? I have the option of WAP and connecting etc. But no colour/picture screen so I don't see how it could work...

No idea you'd have to contact telecom or vodafone (whom ever you are with) to figure that one out. But both the telecom and vodafone net screens are very picture/colour orientated (sometimes even more then text) and I don't know if they do a text only option for WAP

Erm, Alberta is in Canada...thank god (no offense!). But, yea, like I said, unless your internet on your cell phone is set up on a plan, then you will be paying heavy for charges.

But the only other problem with that is, the people who have Pay-As-You-Go phones, where you have no plan what-so-ever. Each page view is like, 25cents (it varies from phone company to phone company).

Right now, I work with Rogers, yet, I have a Telus Pay-Go phone (which, I have NEVER used in the past 3 months, because I was tired of putting minutes on it, lol). And to download ringtones, wallpapers, and search the net (which was VERY hard on a tiny screen), my $50 worth of minutes, were gones in a mere week.

Plus, like mentioned before, what about the younger kids who play on the site as well? I doubt their parents are just going to go out and spring for a cell phone for thier [put age here] year old, just so they can rack up a bill for surfing Neopets on a cell phone.
