Don't know if anyone has already found this out or not but I have found a way, when battling in the 1player battle dome, to get your opponent to withdraw so that you don't have any withdraws on your stats.

Found it out whilst looking at the source code and fooling around with the URL to try and find a URL that would auto let me attack Punchbag Bob so I didn't have to click any buttons lol

Anyway.. to make your opponent withdraw (handy if you know you are about to lose), when battling them your URL should look something like this...

Quote:

although the fightid number will be completley different and yourpetsname will actually be your pets name.

change it so that "pet1_name" is pet2_name" and change your pets name to the challangers name... so for example if your were battling Punchbag Bob, you would change it to

Quote:
"http://www.neopets.com/battledome/fight.phtml?fightid=41114481&pet2_name=Punchbag Bob"

and yes you do leave the space in the opponents name (if there is one) in the URL.

You should come up with a message saying...

Quote:
This pet has withdrawn it's challenge and no longer wants to fight.

Try challenging another pet in the BattleDome

Now if you go back to 1Player BD to select a challanger, your pet will be able to fight again! If their name doesnt show up in the drop down list straight away, I just go to the Status page then go back to refresh it.

Like I said.. don't know if anyone has figured this out or not.. most probably have, but I just did and thought its a great thing to know if you know you are about to lose in 1player BD and don't want a loss on your stats!

Havent tested with 2player BD... anyone else is welcome to try =)

Why would you mess around with code that could get you frozen when all you have to do is visit the status page (which automatically withdraws you - and there's no penalty at all for withdrawing in 1-player). Then if you want to heal, just fight inflatable balthazar. One hit and you're back to full HP.

This is what almost everyone does if they have a percentage freezer and it fails, or they try to use fiery gaze/diamond dust round 1 and it fails, etc. Easy and WON'T get you frozen. I'm not so sure about what you're doing. I'd watch out.

It's not a cheat or a bug or anything. All you are doing is essentially clicking the back button and fighting a different challenger. No it won't get you frozen, it just adds another step between going to the status page and withdrawing then going back to Infl B.

The good thing is that your number of withdraws can be controlled :)

Why would you want to add another step when withdrawing is as easy as going to the status page? Withdraws in 1-player don't show up in your BD record (seriously, no one will ever know how many times you left a 1-player fight) and you don't get penalized. I don't understand why anyone would even mess around with this.

why? because i never BD and didnt know yuo could withdraw in that method.. thats why i stated like twice that im not sure wether it was a completley new way that i found of doing it or not, only just started with punch bag bob to get the avatar and like i said on my first post.. the reason for messing around with it was to try and make it easier and faster to beat punch bag bob as i have a very low lvl pet that only makes about 2-3 damage with each hit. cant see how on earth itd get me frozen though, was only posting it cos i found it out BY ACCIDENT and thought others might like to know.. so please don't flame

"Flaming" is when you attack someone personally, like by calling them names. I didn't do that. I just pointed out that messing around with URLs that make a 1-player challenger withdraw from a fight (something they are not supposed to be able to do) could get you into trouble, and is also useless because all you have to do to get out of a fight is visit the status page. The "withdrawal" will not show up in your stats, not even as a "play" (you can fight someone 10 times, win 1, lose 1, and withdraw 8 times, and your 1-player stats will just show 2 plays: 1 win, 1 loss).

Also, it amuses me that you could "accidentally" alter a URL. That seems like kind of a deliberate act to me. ;)

What will happen if that can actually withdraw the opponent from two-player battles ?

Subverting TNT's intent is definitely a freezable offense.

Clearly what you are doing is NOT what should be done in order to achieve what you are doing. Cranberry essentially has the point correct.

I want to stress that you should not use this method.
