Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (round 157). You have won 627 NP!

Because you were in the first 250 to guess correctly, you also have been awarded a Chocolate Orange Volcano, and receive a trophy and the Lenny Conundrum avatar!

Yours Sincerely,
The Neopets Team!

The answer was tropic. The hint of thinking outside the box referred to the sentence "Sorry about skipping the Lenny Conundrum last week, but our resident Lenny Conundrum writer was busy playing the Neopian Lottery last Thursday."

Heading over to the lottery, you see that the six lottery balls match the colors of the letters in the box. At this point, you could come up with the answer by just mixing and matching based on color order. However, You could also look up thursday's lottery numbers (the day that the last lenny conundrum was supposed to be), and find out that the numbers give you the word tropic when lined up on the box of letters.

...

D'OH!

Here's what I did:

* Realized there were six colors in the puzzle.
* Realized there were six differently colored lottery balls.
* Thought: hey; the colors are the same-ish!
* Counted # of letters for each color and assigned each number to its corresponding color on the lottery page.
* Submitted six lottery numbers for my answer.
* ????
* No profit!

Got it right plus finished in the Top 250, getting my very first LC trophy and the avatar. I never in a million years would have thought I had a chance because I had come here before submitting my answer to see if anyone else had gotten the same thing. Guess I was just lucky this time!

Old Cap'n Bloodhook, the captain of The Black Pawkeet, needed to pack away some of his hoarded dubloons. "I'll tell you what," he said, "if ye can help me figure out how many dubloons can fit into this tray, I'll be givin' ye a reward!"

So the tray is perfectly square, and just big enough to fit 10 dubloons along one side.

So, without overlapping any dubloons, what is the maximum number of dubloons that can fit in the tray?

New lenny looks way too easy.

Assuming that the dubloons are laid flat on the tray, and that there is only 1 layer, I get a three digit answer.

Saying anything more I think might make it a little too obvious, but there is a trick to this. (The answer is not a three digit number that adds up to 1)
PM me if you would like a confirmation. (No guarantees that I am right however)

I submitted my answer, 3 digit number...but not the one you guys are thinking of, I guess. I can't see how you could possibly fit more than that in the tray though.

If any of you sent me a pm, and it doesnt seem like I responded, send me another.

For some reason, half of the pm's I am replying to are not showing up in my outbox or sentbox
