So... this game is just recently out (and neopets seem doesn't give update on their site)

anyone played it?

I'm still in progress of buying psp, does it worth it (both psp and neo game :P)?

The psp isn't worth it IMHO. It's less substance based for the games (in contrast to the phenomonally innovative DS titles) and more "Ooh pretty graphics"

The Neopets game is news to me, however.

Interesting, there seems to be very little press coverage compared to the PS2 game.

Not that I'm at all interested in this game. But anyway, the reviews that are out so far point out to "not so good."

A DS neopets game could be genious, serriously. o.o I probably will never get the psp one, or the ps2 one.. but I'd snap up a DS one instantly. The best handheld games I've played are for the DS. (such as Osu! Tatake! Ouendan! which is japanese only at the moment, but I imported it. ^^)

Ugh, I have no idea and I find Neopets' marketing very frustrating. They did the same with the PS2 game, delaying it over and over. The PSP game was supposed to be out in Feb., then March, and I can't find it anywhere or even a more current release date. I wish they'd at least say something. There are quite a few people waiting to buy it, you'd think they'd give updates to their prospective customers so they keep interest up and don't wander away. >.<

Edit:
Okay, from a bit of searching around, it seems the game is now out. Although it didn't seem to be the last time I checked, which was last week. There is no buzz on it, though, which I find odd because the PS2 game is still being advertised on Neopets. O.o Anyway, I guess it's time to head to the toy store, get a PSP and find the game. lol

Of course they're still hyping TDF, it's liekly the better of the two video game incarnations that they were able to intragate with the site (at least for now.)

You have to figure in that these people who have reviewed it aren't the target auidence that the game is aiming for which is that 10-13 age ranges (although they are likely Sony's target auidence for the PSP in general which is late teens to thirites.)

I don't know what Neo was thinking in partnering up with SCEA instead of an well established third party publisher such as Ubisoft (who could likely get a license of publish on GameCube and GBA/DS which would target the appropiate auidence better and pull it off better.)

I love petpets so if this game was for the DS I'd have it in a shot. I really don't like games that only come out for one particular console ;_; Not the greatest marketing ever all round really.

Actually I read the reviews (even though I don't own any gaming consoles because, hey, I'm bored.) I don't read all that many game reviews but these don't seem like particularly bad reviews. The upshot of all of them seemed to be that the game is no Zelda, but that it's pretty decent and that the fairly straightforward plot will probably appeal to the younger demographic that Neopets is probably aiming for.
