Now, suppose Neo released an avatar that needed your pet to eat an item. You have the only one in the whole of Neopia, and no one else will ever be able to get it. Would you sell this item for a ridiculously expensive price or would you be the only one with that avatar?

As I don't care for avatars, I'd sell it for the 500mil+ price you'd easily be able to get, asuming no-one else will ever get it that is. You'd probably be able to get more actually, considering the SuAP and BGC go for 200mil-300mil themselves.

There is so much you could get in a trade for an item that gives you an avatar that has only one in existance. It'd complete my BD set, I could paint my pets, I'd finish my gallery...

All of that is worth so much more to me than a single avatar.

If I could have that unique avatar, then I would go for it. Then again, I'm an avvie collector. Besides, no amount of money would be worth that item, y'know? I'd only give up a completely unique item for something equally unique(i.e. an only-one-like-it-in-Neopia avatar or sidebar theme) or enough money to be the richest person in the game.

I voted for money since it would allow me to accomplish everything I've wanted to do on Neo and retire as a nice wealthy Neopian.

If I were an avatar collector though, I definitely would've chosen the unique avvie.

When it comes to avatars, I'm the anti-collector. If I did care about them, I might change my mind, but that is a big opportunity cost for something I'm never going to use or care about. So, yay for money!

I'd definitely go for the money. I'm a poor Neopian -- imagine all the items I could get for a gallery with a unique food item to sell!

Avatar (as long as it wasn't Bugly).

Simply because it'd be instant fame. Post on one board with the avatar and suddenly you've got thousands of ACer worshippers. Then post on more than one...stardom! Muahahaha!

Sell the item and the person that uses it becomes famous, not you.

Or, stick it in trades/gallery for people to agonize over.

Hmm... yeah, the item is essentially priceless so I'd probably get the avatar. I would hate to regret selling the item a few weeks down the track thinking that I could have received more for it.

The money, obviously ^^; What's so great about avatars anyway?

i don't even use the boards, so i'd sell it for a huge amount to someone who could benefit more from it

I'd go with the money, avatars are ugly , and at least you can transfer money out if your account is likely to go down.

If I sold the item, I could use the money to buy objects that would get me more avatars.

I'm not much of an avatar collector. Plus, I'm poor at the moment, so neopoints sound a lot more appealing.

I'd go for the avatar. I'm Kinda strange I guess since I hardly ever chat on the neo boards but I collect avvies
