Probally a stupid question but what is restocking?

Pretty much, yes. If you can manage to buy good items, it's a good way to make neopoints.

I've heard the term "Restocking" defined in two ways

1- Buying items from The Neopian shops for profit. In this case, you would be after anything that you can resale for profit. This is for a shop with a variety of things for sale.

2- Restocking your personal shop from The Neopian shops, member shops, and anywhere else you can get the specific kind of item you wish to stock in your own shop. In this case you would be looking for the cheapest possible anywhere. An example would be Lab Ray Maps.

In my 6 and 1/2 years of playing, I've successfuly bought from an in-game shop exactly three times, all items worth less than I had to pay.

You'd be surprised at how many more Neopians consistently make profit off of restocking.

It takes practice to know which items to buy, it's not just random lucky guessing. Even though, often it takes luck to restock something really, really nice. But spee, skill, and experience are the main factors in restocking.

High connection speed does make a lot of difference although I have a slow connection I can still manage to get roughly 10k a night from it.

Surely you could make much more simply from playing some flash games?

Yeah but you can make a lot lot more if you're lucky enough to snag a morhping potion or rarity 99. Look at the Thoyras tear. Rarity 99 defense weapon that sells for millions. Try getting that much on games alone...

Ahhh, I misunderstood you...I suppose its more fun restocking than playing games all the time. Personally I don't see how people can play the same game 3x a day every day etc...it gets so repititive

Ahhh, I misunderstood you...I suppose its more fun restocking than playing games all the time. Personally I don't see how people can play the same game 3x a day every day etc...it gets so repititive

Yeah, I normally just go into action and pick a random game, there are quite a few games nowadays that people play. But I understand what you mean, if someone has the same say 6 games they play 3 times a day every day because they can get the max np from it, it would get really tedious. Restocking has that kind of energy to it that you dont know what your going to get, and the sudden rush when your trying to buy something and you dont know wether yo ahve got it or not.

Plus you can at least chat when not restocking. When playing most games, once you start you have to keep playing until the end

I also play games. I meant restocking AFTER I have played the games gets me aout 10k. Games alone get me about 30k-40k
