Caption Contest start every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ... soon after the news is released. The ones that are chosen are usually posted that evening, and and voting closed the evening before the next contest. However, they still leave up the ability to submit an entry, even after it is closed to new submissions.

I think i just missed out on being in the top 10 for this contest :(. They chose my bad quote instead of my funny one (i submitted 2), but I guess I should be happy to even get to the voting stage

I didnt realize until late yesterday. By then I think there was only an hour or so until they took the captions down
