I'm torn over this issue. I only have 6 pets (7 if/when the lutari comes out and there's no morphing potion to use on my Xweetox), and while I wish that they were all on my main account, I'm also relieved that my pets are split from each other. If one account is wrongfully frozen and I can't get it back, it's still... well, it's not "OK," but at least I haven't lost everything.

But that's a personal preference that I don't think all of Neopia should be held to, and I agree that, given how many species are available, there should be more than 4 pet slots per account. I think upping that number to 5 or 6 would be appropriate. Making it unlimited might cause too much strain on the site (I'm not entirely sure about this, but there has to be a logical reason for setting a pet # limit on the accounts to begin with).

Oh, I like the other extreme, it's better for the pets New users should start with one, which they adopt from the pound. After a year, if they've taken good care of their first pet, they could be allowed to care for a second one...

Seriously, you can have "side accounts" to store more pets, but you're not supposed to use them for games or point-earning. I think you are allowed to have up to 16 pets this way (I can't recall where I saw that number written).

While I think having as many pets as you want would be a bit overboard I do think you should be able to have more than is currently allowed - especially at the rate they are churning new pets out at. At the moment you can have up to 20 pets, one main account and four sides with four pets each. But there are 52 species of pet now and when you take into consideration all the pet/colour combinations... well would it suprise you to know there are over 1800 of them? O_O

I like the concept. I think it should be a flat charge for how many pets would by staying in the "live-in suite" --- it could be connected in a way to the Neohome system if it's thought up the way I'm thinking about it.

Currently I've got 15 pets and it's all I can do to keep them fed every day, never mind getting any of them painted or labbed. I even have 2 each of grundos, xweetoks, hissies and yurbles, and I'm thinking I'm going to have pound at least one of them so I can get some different species. It's a problem when I like more than one colour in a species.

It sort of reminds me about pokemon. You can only have so many on you at a time, but you can own more.

I'd like that, I'd be more than willing to pay np for the pets to be taken care of in a hotel or something.

I would love it if after your account turns a year old, you get a fifth pet slot. Perfect way to reward the older players! (Didn't they promise to reward the older players at some point, because the newbies were getting so much stuff?)

1800 possible pet combinations and we can own 1%. Whoopee! I don't think we should go back to unlimited accounts and pets due to all the problems that would cause with keeping track of who's doing what on each account, but I'd love to have a 5th pet slot for owning an account that's so many years old. I know at least one person with 5 pets due to a naming glitch, and she hasn't run into any technical problems because of the extra pet. Right now I feel like I spend more time deciding on the perfect last two pets than I do actually playing Neopets.

To those that have trouble feeding 4+ pets: I would personally find it easier to feed my many pets, if they were all on one acount, and I didn't have to log/in out several times to feed them all. Not that I neccisarily want them ALL on one acount, but some of them, I would. It would cut down on the number of acount names I have to rememeber. (I probably have more than four sides, but most were created before the rule went into play, and I don't log into at least two of them anymore at all, because the pets and acounts have no meaning to me. So in total, probably 4 active sides.)

I would like it if we could have four main pets, and others that are in some sort of place that they are fed and taken care of, but continually, untill we switch them out or somthing. The money could be taken out of ones bank acount as needed. This should probably be an option for older players(hey, we need our promised reward anyway. ) and prehaps a bank acount minimum as well. Of course, the question remains as to what happens if you don't have the money to pay...I suppose they could just stop getting fed. *shrugs*
