Looks like they trying to make it easier to win.

It is hard to make the full hour!

New: Win by having the highest tally, the highest score, or the highest total of scores! (You can only win once per hour.)

Requirements For Prize Winnings

* 5 players entered
* Tally must be greater than 0
* Top places eligible to win prizes: 3

Looks like no minimum score sent for all games.

They also added a column for "total score sent," so you can guess at a person's average score. Helps determine the likelihood of winning.

I've been playing with today's new changes. I can't figure out though if we're still required to have at least a tally of 1 in order to win for "highest total of scores"... o_O

They don't display the current high score up front anymore, either.

They still give out prizes for the top 3 (or 4), but is that just for high tally? Would you get anything for 2nd highest total?

"Because you placed in the top 4, a piece of artwork has been added to your World Challenge Gallery and you have been awarded 1100 neopoints!"

The 2nd and 3rd etc scores are for high tally only.

It seems they're evenly dividing the pot of NP... or multiplying it a lot...

The viewing of your WC Pictures is broken up more now, pic 1 and pic 2 are on separate pages.

I had the highest total of scores, with tally=-1; It did not win.

Although they don't display the high totals, I know it was highest. I was the only one that had more than one score, and my total of scores was bigger than the other scores.

You must have a tally of greater than 0, regardless of whether or not you're among the highest scorers.

if you look at the top of the scoreboard, you can click the prize winning categories to see how you're ranked and who's getting prizes. in other words, clicking on "High Score" will rank the players in order of high score and the line will show the cutoff for who is getting prizes.

For ANY category, you need a tally >0 to win (I have seen people in usuki frenzy with -27 tally and scores of +3000... so i am glad the tally rule is in effect).

Seemingly, yes the prizes are getting easier to obtain. That being said, if you play like you normally did without these new rules, you'll still probably win for the hour. Also, now if you get a high score on your first try you know no one's going to beat, you only need to play one game Xp...

They've changed it so that a tally of 0 or greater, not greater than 0.

And yeah, you sort winning positions by clicking on the column heading.

It appears that I won for 2nd place ScoreTotals. Hm. With a 0 tally to boot. Or maybe, if you place in the tallies, you aren't eligable for the high score and high total prizes, and they get passed on to the next player.
