alright, neo is being a pain in the butt. I click two or three times and it logs me out, so I log back in again. five seconds later, I'm logged back out again. I changed my password, just in case. I also cleared my cookies and junk, but that hasn't helped at all. Is there reaason to be concered? Is anybody else having problems with being logged out a lot? what could be causing it? I'm at a loss. o_O

The same exact thing was happening to me yesterday on every site I usually have to log in to. To solve the problem, I switched from IE to Firefox. I talked with people a lot more knowledgeable about computers that I, and he said it was a mystery to him, but it didn't sound like a problem on our end. To be honest, it really started freaking me out when IE crashed when I was trying to come here to PPT.

Your not alone. I also am having problems with constantly getting logged out. Hopefully it is just a glitch on neopets part.

I have exactly that problem with my account, and also with the other non-child account in our household. It's sporadic, but it's a pain in the neck when I'm doing Faerie Crossword and I have to login four or five times to finish the puzzle. Funny thing is, the under-13 account never has that problem. And I use IE. So I don't believe it's just a browser thing.

PS -- I just figured it's because I must have some popup blocked, or banished some advertiser's website for bad behavior.

yeah, I noticed that it was doing it for other sites too, like this one and neoitems, although not near as often as with neo. I'm using IE if it means anything one way or the other. at least I know I'm not alone and that i'm not going crazy.

If you got some weird popup box when you went to PPT yesterday and you are having these problems, please read this thread:

Others are having the same problems and there are some solutions listed. :)

Thanks, Jasujo, for the heads-up about the kvg trojan.

Actually I've been having problems on my account for several months, so I think it's probably a blocked pop-up or cookie that's causing the unexpected logouts. Interesting that the under-13 account has no such problems on our shared computer.

I was attacked by a virus yesterday when I tried to visit PPT. It caused me to be constantly logged out, and have that weird message box come up.

The logging out is NOT a Neo problem or an IE problem it is a virus (any number can do the same as JS Wonka) that rewrites certain files which are attached to IE.

Get a virus checker that is concurrent for new virus's and run all spyware/adaware/virus checkers that you can. It took me hours to get rid of the problem files.

JS.Wonka -

JS.Wonka is a generic detection of web pages or e-mail messages that contain a certain functionality for encrypting scripts that may have malicious intent. This does not necessarily mean that a virus has been found. It merely means that HTML code was found which attempts to activate additional executable code without the user's express permission.
