Has anyone built a house? If so where? I'm in the processing of building mine (I have the plot of land, now I need to start saving up to put up walls).

If acceptable to the folks at PPT if you can share your neohome address I'd love to look at it, for ideas.

If not acceptable, due to security items, please let me know of any tips or hints you may have for us first time home builders.

I don't know much about the homes, but you can see some good ones throught the newshttp://www.neopets.com/newfeatures.phtml?arr=2005-12-19

Look through the news for 'neohome spotlight', then follow the links. There should be great ideas there...

Thanks both of you.

Ducky, it's a beautiful neohome. I like that you added floors above the main one. I couldn't find any of those when I was just looking in my neighborhood.

When I get more than just a plot of land I'll put it up for others here to visit, who knows maybe even enter it in cotests.

Thanks again for your input, both of you.

Here's mine. I haven't added much in a while, but I put on a bit here and a bit there when I get a chance. :)

Ducky, I just love your Island Lounge! Jasujo, cool gardens. Your playroom craked me up, it's so pre-K.

Why are gardens displayed on an angle, and the rooms are top-down? O can't see a lot of the furniture in the rooms.

thanks WC. :D

the rooms and gardens are that way solely because that's how neo seemingly wants them. it doesn't look the best sometimes, but it's just something you learn to live with when building your house.

one thing I don't understand is how you can have a room on top of a garden. i mean, personally, I wouldn't want a giant room falling on top of me while working in the garden, would You? o_O

on a side note, if you feel like it you could help me try to figure out what i'm gonna do with this room. I'm changing it into a game room; however, I need some ideas for games and such that I could put in it. help would be appreciated.

My advice is this.. if you want something.. go for it. Don't buy something you don't really like just because it's cheaper. You'll end up being displeased, probably.

And maybe plan out your house design.. I mean, the way its shaped and where certain things go..

I have one on my that I plan to enter in the spotlight once I get back to working on my gardens. I also have a home on every side account including another on Mystery Island, one in Faerieland, one in Darigan, and one I plan to build on Kreludor or the Space Station depending on when those becom available. They're not going to be as nice as the one on my main, but I've organized my accounts and pets according to where they live. I've always thought galleries were the epitome of pointlessness myself, so I never understood how they could compare for a house. I mean, where do you go to the bathroom? In the woods?

Since everyone seems to be sharing their houses, here is mine. Not much to look at, but it has a quaint charm of a house with no real direction. I only decorate with items I get from the Advent, cheap, or any other low cost method. I am on to my last phase of building after I get a paint brush for my Shoyru. The last bits will be rooms in the corners of floor 2 and a central tower. I have no plans afterwards and will never send it for a spotlight since it is just a nice dumping ground Advent prizes and the like. Enjoy 0:) :P :D

This is my Neohome, if you'd like to take a look. It's not really finished yet.

my neohome is here. it's a bit minimalistic, because neohomes get expensive.

i also have a room in the lost desert bunker. an index of all things bunkery can be found here.

(auggh, i hate bbcode.)

Again thanks for all who put links into their houses. I was just reviewing the boards (my lunch hour don't you know) so can't wait to get home and view the actual houses.

Another question about houses...Where can you get wallpaper, or paint for the walls? or do you just have to go with what they give you?

what you see is what you get. there aren't any wallpaper or paint items for your neohome.
