:roflol: Saw a pet in the pound that had been turned into a pile of sand. Does any one know how you do this? Is it permanent? Haven't seen this announced anywhere on neo yet?

:o I was so suprised that I missed adopting it.

Any one know anything about these pets?

Yes, it's one of the many possible traps at the Temple of 1000 tombs.

The owner probably thought it would stay forever like that and abandoned it. Though it only stays like that for an hour.

or it's a rare pet and they sanded it so it would be easier to transfer.

Wow. That really is cunning. I think I'll do that to my next painted lab rat when I go to transfer it. Excellent idea! Great way to beat those auto-adopters! ^_^

Well, maybe not anymore...xD There are a lot of people who come here, aye? I hope the concept doesn't become very popular, though...it really is a brilliant idea, but it'd lose its point if auto-adopters start looking for 'Sand Pets'.

If someone deliberately turned their pet to sand to transfer it safely (or at least safer), it is a good idea -- except if you go to quick ref the sanded pet still has what species and color it is under the pile of sand pic.

So, for trying to thwart these darn auto-adopters, I don't think it'll work -- but it might for just regular folks checking the pound or even poundsitters. They'd have to go to the pet description to see what the pet really is and hopefully the transfer is by then successful.

Still wishes there was a way to "Link" our own accounts so we could safely transfer pets just between accounts (all on 1 email).
