A few years back there was a Unicorn paint brush. I thought it looked lovely even then and it was basically just a cut an paste and recolor kind of color. Now the site's art has greatly improved and continues to get better and better, especially for more fancy colored pets, like royal. I was thinking it would be a good time to rerelease this color.

The only objection I might see is that people might think it means that pets are breeding. That is, pets are breeding to uni's or something. But those people have always existed anyway and they'll do their little breeding roleplay anyway. But I think the majority of people grasp the concept that their pet has been painted that color, and that is where the horn and mane came from.

Anyway, I kind of see the unicorn color as being a bit of the opposite of Darigan. Those pets are dark colors and some have horns and some have longer hair. So I don't see why they can't just do the same thing but give them a mane and horn and white fur.

Anyway, maybe neopets wants their pets to remain pure. That is, a pet should always look like it's own species, and not have atributes of another species.

From what I remember they got rid of the unicorn paintbrush color because they thought it was ugly or it wasn't popular. But the few people that did have the color woke up one morning to find their pet changed back, with no explaination. I don't even think it was in the news.
I never forgot that color and I never stopped wishing they'd reconsider and release it some day. Only lots better of course.

I'd like to see a scaley paint brush too. Like pets that normally have fur could have scales. Uni's could look like a ki-rin!

Do you have any screeshot of any 'unicorn' pet? I mean I started playing neopets a few years ( 3 or so ) years ago ( though my account only has 10 months, the others have been frozen ) and in all my time there I never knew of a 'unicorn paint brush'. I'm not saying that I don't believe you, I believe you, it's just that I'm curious to know how to the 'unicorn' pets look like.

And it's weird that retired the color without saying anything in the news, there was a 'unicorn paint brush?' or it was a 'lab map' color? if there was one, maybe there are some of that paint brushes around.

But I'm with you, I would love to see color re-released!

..oh yeahhh.. I remember that.. I think I saw a Unicorn Flotsam a few years ago.. it didn't look very good but of course (I think it was just a Blue/White Floatsam with a uni horn slapped on top where its horn was supposed to be..), that was years ago, they could do so much better now.

Ok, let's face it. They were pretty ugly..but I mean, this was like..YEARS ago, so the art wasn't that great. They could do so much better now! Imagine this with more of a mane, and more colorful in places. Sort of mostly white, but with some rainbow/pastel streaks or sparkles in the mane.

I used to love the pastel colors on this card. I am not sure if they should put pastel colors on them nor not. I kind of think they'd look better just a plane white. Maybe not rainbowy colors in their manes, but just one color. Or if it is pastel, it would be very faint, like a pearl tone almost. If they can do that.

Whoa. I think those look a little scary. D: It just looks like a unicorn horn glued onto their forehead. I think if they did a bit more to make it look like a unicorn it would be okay.

Despite the old look thing that's all over that picture, I quite like it for some reason.

The lab ray did not exist until LONG after the color was gone. The unicorn brush was first turned into the "unicorn gem", but it could still turn your pet into a unicorn when used. When the color itself was retired, the gem became a battledome weapon, but the battledome didn't exist yet either (weapons couldn't even be equipped). I forget what became of it then.

Unicorn was the first color ever eliminated. Glass and Stone were next, except that they were changed to whole new colors. When unicorn was taken off the site, I think all the unicorn pets were simply turned to blue or something.

Now that you've mentioned it, a re-do of the unicorn brush would be pretty cool. It'd be another 'pretty' brush like faerie.

Something like those colors (on the dragon) for the unicorn pets would be nice. Along with the long fur and the horn.

They could be really elegent instead of just white with a horn slapped on. XD My Lupe Wolfishound was a unicorn for a while, then after the color died he became white, then fire. ^^'
