Congratulations! You have guessed correctly in the Lenny Conundrum game (round 132). You have won 871 NP and if you are one of the first 250 to win, been awarded a Pyramid Painting Vol. 7: Faux Finishes, avatar, and trophy!

What a confusing win message. :) I did indeed get the item.

The answer was 7252 liters.

One trick in solving the LC was ... picture yourself looking down on the pyramid from the top. The only area that you see is the area of the bottom layer. So trying to figure out how much of each level of the pyramid was being covered by the next layer ended up being a calculation that you didn't really need to do.

The sides were a little trickier ... but excel worked pretty good at figuring it out.

How to calculate :
from top : 63 x 97 x 100 x 100 / 10000
from side : 4 x 97 x 97 x 5050 / 10000
5050 is 1 + 2 + 3 + ... + 100 (to calculate : (1 + 100) * 100/2)
(total top + side) / 3 ~ 7252

err I don't really calculate this time just remembering what I did btw I got the prize :)

I have always wished they would include what number you were in getting it right. Congrats, you were the 246th person to get the correct answer.

(Like they did with the Mystery Island Plot).

This message does just look like an easy way to cover themselves if (when) there is an item glitch. I can see it now.

"I guess you must not have been one of the first 250 to get it correct, since you didn't get the prize ... even though you answered it 1 minute after it came out. ;)"

Impressive! I has thought I might have gotten in earlier enough this week to get the gold ... but I didn't get an upgrade. :(

How fast were you able to answer?

NEW LC is out.

Shortly after the Scroll Repository pyramid was completed (see the previous Lenny Conundrum), a huge sandstorm swept through the Lost Desert, partially burying the pyramid. In fact, exactly 58% of the surface area of the freshly-painted pyramid was obscured by sand.

How deep, in meters, was the sand that buried the pyramid? Please round to the nearest one-hundredth of a meter. Assume the surface of the sand around the pyramid is perfectly level.

----

I'm actually have a problem with this one, as in, I am thinking that the answer is rather ill-defined. I'll go with what I think, though ... I guess.

Edit Edit Hint Hint: Never mind ... I was looking at the wrong column, me thinks. :) Will have to figure it out now.

Yeah, I had used a formula similar to yours to find my answer before I realized the cool way to do the LC last week. I do remember verifying your answer last week for you. :)

I luckily had kept my formula in my spreadsheet from last week ... so it made my work this week a little easier.

Not 100% sure about my number this time ... but I have an answer I have rechecked and got the same answer. :)

I have an answer that looks like XX.YZ
