Recently, there are more and more new species and great colours avaliable in Neopets. However, the maximum number of pets we can own is only 4. Don't you think it is time for them to increase the number? Especially older players who have enough nps to get those great species/colours they desire, but would still like to keep their older pets...and those with lab rays...sometimes, I really want to keep those pets with nice colour from the lab...

Maybe people who battle, and keep only 1 pet may disagree with me, but I really feel that it is time to increase the number of pets we can own, maybe as a treat for the older players?

What is it that prevent them from allowing us to have more pets? Server problems?

I know a lot of people have been begging for the ability to have 5 pets. (I think The Wonder Weezel is doing a theme that required 5 pets, if I'm not mistaken.) It'd be wonderful if they would, but I don't think they ever will. And if they do, it'll probably be a while from now. I think they should at least consider it, maybe giving Premium members the option of having a 5th pet.

well, they are currently doing the whole war thing and what-not. They don't have the persistance and determination required to pull something like that off. look what happened to neoschools, they were "too busy" and just threw the idea doown the drain because they "didn't have time". they are WAY to busy promoting their dumb card game, and planning their movie, and making dumb pet colors, and making more overpriced merchandise, and promoting their overpriced garbage, and brainwashing us more....(ect.)

Adam's account has five. It's led me to believe that they're testing ways to let users have five pets and still keep things organized and bug-free.

I think it's because he can bend the rules to his every whim and flaunt around with the fact that he can have as many pets as he wants adn we can't.

Last time I can accept 4 as max pet number, but now, newer colours and species keep comming out..so I think it is only fair for us to own more now since time have change. I am not saying we can own unlimited pets, just more than 4...Anyway, Neopets is a virtual PET site afterall, it dosen't seem right to limit the pets we can own, especially when players nowadays have so many choices and quite a number have the ability to own what they want...

I have send in many appeals through the editoral, mail support, but all I get is automatic answers...

Yes, somebody remembered! Yes, I need a 5th pet. My goals of neopets will not be complete until I have 5 pets.... then i can have my team of elemental neopets... a real team of 5. Im waiting for a robot kiko to join my team (unless they come out with a better limited-edition robot pet that i dont own).....

however, somebody suggested 5 pets go premium. NEVER!! I will never pay a cent to get 5 pets. That will take it too far. But yes, I am waiting for 5 pets. The second that spot opens up, im jumping to claim it as mine.... ill do anything for it! More than 1 billion neopoints.... the strongest pet.... trophies galore.... i dont need any of that.... I will feel complete once I get my robot kiko without getting rid of my other 4 pets. Yes.

But also, like smudgeoffudge said, I agree with that fact that if they let us have 5, people might ask for 6, so there must be some restriction. What im hoping is someday, they will let people who have proven themselves worthy of 5 pets have a 5th pet... but make it a challenge. something you actually have to earn... maybe a year or two on neopets.... and also have all your pets at a certain level, happy, and well fed.... and THEN if you do a certain something or other, or apply or something, you may get a 5th pet. That is my dream. *eye twinkles*

I have long thought that they could solve most of the multiple account problems by doing a couple of things.

1. Let people pay NPs to get the right for extra pet(s) -- up to a point and for the right to have more than 1 shop.

2. Let all random events and quest effects go to the active pet.

If you did those two things, there would be very few reasons that anyone would need a second account.

I would definately like to own 5 pets. I have great luck with the Lab Ray, and so often, I want to keep those pets. But then, I don't have room for the pets I want to get in the future.

I do agree, though, that if they give us 5, it won't be long before people are begging for 6. I like the idea of having to be on Neopets for a while, and earning the right. But I refuse to buy Premium if it's offered that way.

exactly. Your status on neopets should be based on neopoints. kind of like Real life, unfortunately, but its true. You should be able to buy your way into things, because normally, people really have to EARN their neopoints. Ive worked extremely hard these last 3 years to get where I am on my account.... of course, things can determine your np intake, like your seniority, or how active you are, or what you do where (are you a BDer, chatboarder, gamer...) or other things.... but of course, now we are talking about a neopets revolution.... im going to stop talking now. It wont happen.....................................................................................

I, too, share that dream. To a degree at least. I think that TNT should reward older users, as they promised, with the prospect of 5 pets. It seems fair to me. Giving out rare PBs and such would cause deflation, and a declined sense of pride in owning a rare colored pet. However, having an extra pet altogether, now that is a badge of honor, right there.

This is my ultimate wish for TNT to grant, a 5th pet.
Forever I've seen pets that I want really bad, but don't have room for. Robot Jetsam... Maraquan Krawk... Grey Peophin... recently they released the Faerie Pteri, and I couldn't stand it any more. I NEED to have 5 pets! Of course I'd like 6 or 7 or even 67, but TNT, why 4? Such an odd number. Five is a nice rounded number. There are what, 50 pets now? With like 50 paint brushes? We're only supposed to have 4 pets? Crazy!
We know that this idea has crossed their minds, because on Neo's birthday in the news they said something along the lines of "You can now have five pe- just kidding!!!"

Now with the recent release of the Faerie Lenny, my desire for the option of 5 is even higher. I can't decide which birdie I like more! Please Adam/Donna/someone from TNT reading this thread (we know you do!) pleaaaaaase consider?

Yes, but if they did #1, they might be accused of copying a certain other pet site that already does that. Don't know if that would affect a huge site like Neo. I do love the idea though...I'd happily pay NP for more pets.
