I bought my Lupe an Ettaphant and a Tyrannian petpet paint brush with the hopes of painting the Ettaphant the day its new color is released. I'm going to assume that said color will be released in conjunction with the Ettaphant being the featured PPL pet.

My goal is to have one of the oldest Tyrannian Ettaphants around when it's color/species are featured in the PPL, but I have a concern.

The ettaphant is sitting in my SDB right now. If I put it on my Lupe, and the (plain) Ettaphant was featured on the PPL while my Ettaphant was equipted, then I would win a small amount of NP and some award, I assume. NOW, if I painted my Ettaphant afterwards, and then Tyrannian Ettaphant was the featured PPL pet months (years) down the road, would I be eligable for the NP/prize, or would I be disqualified because that petpet's already been acknowledged by the PPL under a different color?

I don't think any Petpet can win the PPL Award more than once. And I don't think painting it changes anything about it.

I totally set myself up for that Simpson reference. :P

Um, if the mods feel this thread has lived to its potential, they can feel free to close it.

In my opinion, if the ettaphant is sitting in your SDB right now (not equipped), and the tyrannian ettaphant is currently unreleased but with a picture, the tyrannian ettaphant will probably be released soon. If Ettaphant's day for the PPL is coming up soon, t is highly unlikely that you will win PPL with a petpet you just equipped.

Just an opinion.

I doubt I'd win anything significant, but I think I'd still get something (maybe 100 NP), which would presumably forbid me from ever receiving anything from the PPL again, at least for the Ettaphant.
