Is there a story behind Old Maraqua?
Oh Yes. A long time ago Maraqua was a thriving city inhabited by many different species (although mostly Kois, Flotsams and Jetsams). The city was so successful, however, that it attracted the attention of an evil pirate who desired to either claim Maraqua for his own or destroy it completely. The Maraquans wouldn't give up their city ithout a fight, so the evil pirate unleashed a terrible curse that sent a whirlpool to ruin Maraqua. The proud city was rapidly transformed into a huge pile of rubble, the survivors had no choice but to abandon the ruins and seek refuge elsewhere. That, of course, is all ancient history though, as new Maraqua is now bigger and better than ever.
What does a Starter Paint Brush do?
Users receive a Starter Paint Brush when they first start an account. It is available in red, green, yellow or blue. This is a one use item that lets you change the colour of one of your Neopets. It cannot be sold or traded; it is just a little gift from us to you.
Could you please tell us what the eyeball and snow grapes do in Snowmuncher? Nobody has figured it out yet!
We did post the answer to this in issue 7 of the Neopets The Official Magazine (the Snowmuncher Game guide). In case you didn't manage to get hold of it, though, they are bonuse items - worth 20 and 50 points, respectively, each.
Will the Neopets Team introduce any anti-freezing weapons to counter freezing weapons like h4000 helmet?
Yes, we will be releasing a few more anti-freezing items, although they will remain quite hard to get hold of to keep the Battledome balanced.

How do you get the sidebar to change color even if it's not a special day?
If you have unlocked a sidebar, you will have the option to switch between it and the regular sidebar in your user preferences. Not everyone can change the sidebar. The special ones are very hard to get hold of and, until you unlock one, you will just have the base yellow bar (except on your birthday).
You get the birthday sidebar on your birthday and the Halloween sidebar on Halloween. My birthday is on Halloween, so which sidebar will I be able to use for that day?
The Birthday bar overrides all other bars. You will get the birthday bar and all the benefits that come with that, rather than the Halloween bar.
How do you get to the Game Graveyard?
There is a link to the Game Graveyard from the Haunted Woods map.
Do you have to go to Meridell or the Darigan Citadell to find a Darigan draik Egg?
Draik Eggs are sold in Meridell (at the food shop). The Darigan version is just a rare type of Draik Egg. You may also be able to pick one up from a player's shop or at the auction house.

How do you unlock the DFM Pteri? And could you make an avatar for beating him? Personal satisfaction isn't enough ; )
Haha. You get that evil red-eyed Pteri from a Random Event. We can see about making an avatar for him in the very near future.
I saw a very very old picture of Neopia. On it I can see a desert, jungle, and many other areas that would later become the lost desert, terror mountain, and the places we are familiar with today. There is a swamp on this old map, but no swamp today. I think a swamp would be nice. Swamps aren't as desolate as some believe them to be, and harbor lots of wildlife and birds!
You will be very pleased t o know that a swamp is going to be featured on the site and in the new PS2 game. This swamp is full of life, including the lovely Sophie the Swamp Witch.
