I have had two raindorfs sitting in my shop for months at 79K--I had priced them back when they were 79K and then the price dropped to below 50K but I decided to just let them sit. Now both are sold and all raindorfs on the shop wiz are over 100K. They weren't retired--still rarity 89--so what gives?

o_o No idea. Is someone hording them, and trying to raise the prices? o_o

If you check the unreleased thread.... someone found out Raindorfs are part of the random theme for Wednesday. People are buying them up in hope for an avatar will inflate the prices even more.

This is probably why they shouldn't upload these so far in advance. >_>

Thanks, Rune. I sort of figured it was due to an avatar or such. I didn't lose any nps from the sale and, in fact, made a bunch, but just found it so weird that both of them were sitting for months in my shop--way overpriced--and then all of a sudden gone.

I think TNT will make the avatar something OTHER than equipping a raindorf. If you look at the past few petpet avatars, they were petpets that very cheap pre-avatar, and were inflated after the av was released. Even before the Raindorf Day stuff was found, raindorfs were pretty expensive. I don't think TNT will do something to inflate them further.

Which makes me laugh at the raindorf-hoarders. xD
